Six-cylinder Posted November 10, 2017 Author Posted November 10, 2017 Can anybody do an HPi Trade check from Frame No for my Peugeot 103 Moped please? Panhard65 is very kindly helping me with my Peugeot 103 moped. It seems drinking coffee has given him special powers that I do not have, like being able to notice that there has been a yellow number plate attached to it at some point and the speedo is in mph! This points to it having been UK registered at some point and it would save me a lot of trouble if I could find the reg number from the frame number. Panhard65 thinks this is possible with a trade HPi account. Cost will be covered can anybody help me and do a Trade HPi check for me please?

Kiltox Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 Gear gaiter is aftermarket sadly - the original was pretty nasty.

Six-cylinder Posted November 15, 2017 Author Posted November 15, 2017 The plan was to drive the BX 30 miles to a booked MOT last week but after a failed attempt to coordinate a friend to help collect it and my mech to meet me, check it and take it for MOT, I went for the simplified route and simply collected it with a trailer today. Now I am waiting for mech to tell me when he can check it over and take it for MOT. dollywobbler, Dick Cheeseburger, Yoss and 1 other 4
Six-cylinder Posted November 15, 2017 Author Posted November 15, 2017 The bad news for the BX is I have missed my slot and my mech is not sure when he can fit it in, 2 weeks at least.
richardmorris Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 I could have a use for your trailer before then.....do you rent the rig out

Six-cylinder Posted November 18, 2017 Author Posted November 18, 2017 Having failed to solder a connector on a cable to charge my scooter I was looking for something easier to do tonight! We are clearing my Mothers house because she is in a nursing home and now have the family photo albums so I am picking the car stuff out. The first I have come across is my fathers 1963 Morris 1100 brand new company car and yes me with my parents in 1963. Edit - I have checked DVLA and no trace Sudsprint, Dick Cheeseburger, chaseracer and 22 others 25
SiC Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 Was that in the UK? The background looks very continental. Soldering is so much easier if you have a decent iron. Also crimps do a very good, repeatable job if you use a ratchet crimp tool. Generally unless you're really good at soldering, crimping is recommended. Six-cylinder 1
Six-cylinder Posted November 18, 2017 Author Posted November 18, 2017 You are right we were on Holiday in Austria. My mother is Austrian and I have never admitted it to Junkman! HMC, SiC, chaseracer and 3 others 6

Six-cylinder Posted November 18, 2017 Author Posted November 18, 2017 Next is 1965 and my farther had taken over his boss's 1964 Austin Cambridge, I remember it having a radiator blind operated by a chain from the dash. While the cambridge was only 2 years old it was not considered fit for a trip to Austria and my father hired this Hillman Minx. Sudsprint, HMC, egg and 5 others 8
