How can this be underpriced?

I'm punting out a late mk3 Fiesta with a shortish test and the usual scabby rear arches, intermittent heater and occasional idling issue. Now I thought I was being cheeky asking £375 particularly this close to Xmas but the fucking phone hasn't stopped ringing. Should I be cheeky and pull the ad and put it back up for £495 later this week?

A bloke pulled my hand off for a mk4 fiesta with a rusted out floor for £300. Showed him the grot but he wasn't fussed. £500 used to get you a decent car but you are looking at more like £750 now for something worth having unless you are lucky.

You used the words 'Ford' 'Old' and 'Scene Tax Sheep Twats', which should see the value of the car at around £500 but only to certain twats who are into 'Retro Fords'.

I want a small car. I have heard of a small car, it is called a Ford Fiesta, no other small cars exist.

True story.

No, keep it as it is and let it go to the first genuine party. Interest means nothing until the cash is in your hand and talk is cheap.

I'm with Billy on this one ... Keep the price as it is, you can at least be quite firm on the £375 though if you have loads of interest

My brother just sold his grotty 1997 zetec which had a misfire and had patch welding over patch welding for £360..

It hadn't been serviced in 5 years and had never seen a bucket of water and he hasn't a clue about cars.

I told him to put it up for £295 and be prepared to drop to £250 and the only redeeming feature I could see about the car was it had a long mot on it.

What do I know I was highly embarrassed once he told me the phone didn't stop ringing and he could of sold it 10 times over.

While I'm at it anyone want a really nice green 1995 Audi A4 1.6 for £500 it runs like a dream and is in fantastic condition and has only done 67000 and has a ticket till next September (only done 1 mile since the last one).

I've had it for 4 years now but never get the chance to use it.

Facebook car sales pages seem rammed with cheap Fiestas at the minute that have had loads of enquiries and sod all buyers. Just offload it ASAP and don't chip more than £25 off the price if its really attracting interest.

For a car on the modern plate system, nobody's going to complain at <£500.

I got offered an insulting £500 for a very clean for our 51 plate zetec ghia with 54k on the clock.

Sold. I came down £25 to the first viewer just to get it out of my life.

In all fairness it drove really well and the baby Zetec is a sweet little unit. If I was in the market for a small car I'd happily of kept it.

If any of his family need another they can have mine for £800.

We sold our fiesta in April. Good condition overall with no frilly arches or front valance rust. 1.6 freestyle with leccy windows, alloys etc and I thought I was lucky to get £350 for it. Got no interest at all.

That's because it was a 1.6.

If anyone ever wants a bargain 'big' engined small cars like that are usually dirt cheap.

Fair point. Mind you if it was the zetec s with side skirts held on with hope and slammed to the deck then the chav boys would have fell all over it.

Those things are a good laugh, cracking fun, its almost like Ford built a factory hot hatch sleeper.
