Shite Investments?

I'd buy something I like but don't want to own:  Reliant Scimitar.

I would like to think Reliant SS1s are going to be a good investment, but as is true of every car I like and want to own the values on them remain flat and the car undesirable except by a choice few.  It probably means they're shit, I do like a shit car.

I am sorry to tell you this, but when I was 7 in 1969 my sweet old grandmother sat me on her knee and told me in no uncertain terms that however groovy the new Scimitar GTE may look they will always be worth fuck all.

She was right.

I am pretty much doing this with my GT6, not intentionally mind you, just through bone idleness.

Any popular 80s hot hatch would do here. XR3i, 205GTi etc. *

Please remember that the value of your investments may go down as well as up. Autoshite is approved and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority to provide shite financial advice. The website accepts no liability for iron oxide, the upopularity of Talbot Alpines and multi vehicle based marrage problems.

... late (oval dash) Porsche 944...

I'm laughing all the way to the bank then!

15 Saab 900 Convertables.

this, buy them now while they are cheap. Saab had a decent brand loyalty so as they get rarer prices will only go up.

I reckon you can't go wrong with Audi 80/90/100's, either the squarish ones or the 80's aerodynamic ones.

I also think the coupe's would be a decent investment, especially an S2 or 20V quattro, note to self, must buy one before they get too expensive.

To compensate for; a tiny cock, low self worth, dull futile and unremarkable life or because it's socially unacceptable to simply carry a large 'I AM A HUGE WANKER' sign around.

A very clean, completely standard mk1 impreza turbo.

Needs to be a UK spec car not an import so a 2000 turbo

These are cheap now and getting rarer by the day - like the cossies they will shed their chav chariot image over the next few years and start to appreciate

A friend recently sold one for just under £3000 he bought for £1500 a couple of years ago

Couldn't agree more about the early impreza, they are a handsome car with a following, make sure you get a sonic blue one and the people who grew up playing Colin mcrae rally or similar will pay good coin

I would like to think that the SD1 would sky rocket in value, considering production stopped in 1986 and the remaining survivors number less than any cortina, granada or capri.

However I am still waiting.

An unmolested Mk2 Golf GTi. Hopefully the prices will go up like the Mk1 did.

Vauxhall Astra GSi (you don't see many around)

Mk4/5 Escort RS2000,

If there was owt left I'd just waste it on beer and pies.

Why on earth would you do that....?

I didn't say i would but someone is making some money from it judging from the prices they charge.

I well remember having to drive a Mk 1 Escort as a works pool car back in '81; deadly dull rubbish car.
