Cars you didn't know existed until very recently.

Don't know about cars you didn't know existed, what about Marques?

Bought Autocar for the first time in months, yesterday. And noticed in the price listings " DS Automobiles" entirely separate from Citroen. How long has this been the case?

I keep forgetting these existed until I see the one that lives behind us, last fling of the Japanese micro vans in the UK.

Colt Plus. No I had no idea either. Even stranger looking than the photos suggest

I hadn't heard of a VX Ampera until I spotted one in Newquay a few months ago. Turns out its GM's leccy offering. Unusually, I quite like big, clumpy looking Vauxhalls, and this thing looked OK in the flesh. Certainly less shit than the wobbly looking Datsun Leaves. I like this lady.

I like these,

Saw one today.

The Ampera looks OK apart from the hideous black line under the windows. I'm sure I read there is some technical reason for it being there but it looks crap.

I've never (knowingly) seen a Cascada in the wild either.

Posted

Cascada is now sold stateside as a Buick. Can't see many being sold. I saw the sum total of zero Buick Encores (mokka) in NY last year

yep I've got a verte was part of AC cars that where importing them.

there actually AU 2 falcons.

Did a quick bit of sleuthing, and they were "Japan and international markets"...so 90% sure that means it's an import, but why the hell you'd import that is beyond me!

The Glorious attempt..... Anziel Nova.

An early try by the now well-known Alan Gibbs of Gibbs Aquada etc fame. Her wanted to establish a local car building industry, but was defeated by politics and money (see the history of just about everything!).

The one and only Anziel as it is today, still Owned by Gibbs and kept at his home.

^ Home-made?

(The stretch 180, not necessarily the video!)

The critical bit being at 1:10 , only looks like a slight stretch, if its stretched at all.

Am I missing something?  I'm seeing only a Daimler DS420...

I'm pretty sure the only limo was the DS420 the Chrysler looked standard to me.

We live near a Mercedes-Benz commercial dealer and I see loads of those Citans about.

I can see the point of them, because MB commercial vehicle service is very good and Renault's isn't.

I had no idea that an extra long (grand) Tourneo Connect thing existed until this week.

You'd be amazed how wrong that statement is... MB Commercials are fucking useless. The Polish lads on long haul can't get enough of Renault Masters.

I was just about to post the same when I spotted it.  It's behind the 420 - and it turns off just as Annie arrives about 1.10 - it's real blink and you'll miss it though.

As we seem to be on the subject of small vans, I give you the Dacia Dokker.

Never heard of this till I went past a .ro registered one on the M62 the other day.

I thought it might be another variation of the ComCitGoo but according to t'internet its all Dacia.

I've seen loads of canvas back Masters with sleeper pods and Eastern European regs as of late, Renner probably have a far better Europe wide dealer network, and are no doubt cheaper to mend when they do go wrong

Be surprised if that Dacia doesn't have some Renner content - Renner owns them, and the Sandero certainly had old bits of Clio in it.

One of the many dull Jap cars that got hit with the "Cor Blimey make 'er British" stick that Japanese manufactures waved around in the 90's.

It's a mid 90's Toyota Corolla Estate with a rather convincing Jag XJ front end grafted on...then you see the back.

My personal favorite car to suffer from JDM 'Make it Brit' has to be the Subaru Impreza Casa Blanca,  I've known about it for years and feel it need's a mention here as I feel you guys would love it. :P

I would love get a classic style WRX STi and give it mild tuning, get the Casa Blanca kit for while keeping it fairly original looking. Bonus point's for it looking OAP spec.

Could you see the look of confusion you'd get annoying the yoof with it when you plant the foot!

Looks like no metalwork was altered on it, just a new gopping looking set of bumpers and lights, and the daft chrome grille
