I had a V5 Golf; I thought it sounded a bit like a cross between a 5 pot and a V8, which was nice.

 

Can we have planes? It has to be an Avro Vulcan with four Olympus engines at full power.

 

Or buses? A Leyland National 2 with the Gardiner 6HXLB takes some beating....

Nah, full fat early mk 2 with rationalised 680 (early ones were fitted with these as the L11 wasn't quite ready for production.

Yes. All G11s (even the diesel) were three pots. It's an oddly addictive listen as the car feels a lot faster the speedo suggests. 

 

Wuvvum's Innocenti Small has a Daihatsu twin from a Cuore. It sounds like a motorbike.
