Alright m8 am interested in car have u got any contact details

Has somebody shared this on another forum or something? Odd to get two messages from new joiners.

If so, personally I don't like it when people do that. I often sell my cars on here cheaper to people I often know or at least have some interaction with even if it is just in the virtual world. The reason I am doing so it to eliminate the chances of dealing with a timewaster and happy in the knowledge that the car is going to a good home. If Barrett was happy dealing with anyone he could wang this on ebay and see how it did as he would probably get considerably more sov's for it but would run the risk of attracting a mong who messes him around.

When people put cars up for sale and I think I can sell that on another forum I frequent, I email the seller and ask if its okay to circulate it outside our group (such as I did Wuvs LNA which Largactil has now).

I am not in any way suggesting that the people messaging here are going to be like ebay mongs but if Barrett had wanted to sell a car to a random stranger he probably would not have just advertised it here and on whatever other few forums he has chosen. It may just be a coincidence that these two people have suddenly come out of the woodwork but then again it may not be.

Probably people typing in 'Audi A8' and seeing what it throws up. If I'm ever looking for something a little obscure I do the same, can be surprising what it shows

To be fair if someone goes to the bother of signing up to a forum just to enquire about something for sale on there, theyve already made more effort than your average gumtree mong so they probably have an acceptable level of credibility?

Indeed, I signed up here again so I could buy my 205...

Maybe they've been a member for some time, prefer to read rather than write and this happens to be their first post because one of their mates is busting for Aldi?

Maybe Barrett isn't bothered either way cos he's selling the car for someone else...

Trippy eh!

Pending deposit being paid tonight it looks like this has sold to an actual Shiter. Will let the guilty party update when he's told his missus

Ace - this car was too good to be baled. Glad it's staying in the family, too.

(not least because I want its engine to put in my LT next year)

I must admit I was really tempted by this, I just had bad vibes re the insurance as for my usual providers it just wasnt quite old enough for a classic policy, if youve got a trade policy/ have plenty NCB to chuck at it then is nae bother I would imagine.

I must admit I would rather be wafting about in this slag than splashing out on a recon gearbox, clutch and other shite that I need to lob into a Mitsubishi Canter before Friday ..

Trippy eh!

I once found a tiny cupboard that was barely big enough to fit one person in. I managed to squeeze myself in it and reached forward and pulled the handle to shut the door. It was at that point I it dawned on me that the only possible reason that there was a handle on the inside of the cupboard door, was so that you could shut yourself inside it. There was no other fathomable justification for it.

With the door shut I could barely move my arms it was that small but yet here I was, in the cupboard having pulled the door shut from the inside. I could easily push it open without the handle once in there if someone had shut me in, so it was not a safety measure to allow you to escape should you accidentally get stuck in the cupboard, it could only have been there to allow you to physically close the cupboard from the inside.

Has anyone ever been in this cupboard before? Are we finally making use of its purpose? The sheer confusion, amusement and even the excitement of actually being in the cupboard BLEW MY FUCKING MIND!.

At no point did I try and buy an Audi for a mate from someone who didn't own the car but later that night this lad Wik was wearing some thick rimmed specs and leather coat that made him look like a cockney car dealer and I was genuinely worried that he was going to try selling me an Allegro, so can almost see how trippy it might be, especially if you were writing that from inside a really small cupboard.

Who's got this then?  Or did it fall through?

Is there a record for the longest amount of time a car has been for sale on here?

It did sell Ceri, it was collected a couple of weeks ago, can't remember who though.
