Wow that's a stunna. I too am now in the market for an Avantime so we we'll have to draw up some kind of north south territory divide.

 

I'm going to try to see this one at the weekend althought it's much less appealling than that one as it

1: a 2 litre turbo, 2: it's doom blue, 3: has a chip on the windscreen, which is a massive no-no for these.

That Avantime on RAOC looks lovely.

 

However I just clicked the link for RAOC, and what has happened to the place? the old simple blue forum has gone all weird and spangly.

It has to be a 2.0 manual in Java Green with cloth seats to win

 

(This one is auto V6 + leather)

I have doodled with the idea of swapping the body panel set from one Avantime to another to get the desired combo

but I am too lazy / sensible / incompetent to try.

That's basically a tritan green Avantime. it doesn't get any more shite than that.

I think the blue one i'm looking at is the worst colour but it's local.

Well they are all plastic!

 

I expect there is glue involved with the sides but everything else is held with screws in some way or other. Re-painting is probably a better bet.

There was a green one of these on my street for a time, and that household's other car was a cream, wheeltrim-clad convertible New Beetle...

They have two Clios now.
