Thanks, that's really useful info. Really worth doing the swap too. will it need a new inlet manifold?

Turns out the XR2 Weber is a 32/34 dft, not worth quite as much as I'd hoped but could help fund a 32/36 upgrade.

I must admit I'm already bored of performance and I've only done 30 miles! :D

A 32/36 Twin Choke is definitely the way forwards for usability, The only downside is the fuel economy short comings, I get around 20-25 mpg out of mine.

32/36 DGV or AV from a xflow will do. Just fiddle with the jets and correction tubes to suit.

Triggers fuel encomany is cause he drives around all day trying to get the twin to kick in lol, Webber 32/36 or Webber did a replacement for the vv the 34 ich which bolts to the vv manifold with a kit, had 2 and still got one on my wagon, starts well fuel economy is brilliant to.

xr2 carb won't fit rwd ohv or ohc manifold its a smaller base.

in the 60-70's you could get a 90* adaptor to fit an su to ford single choke manifold not seen one since the early 90's.

Slapped a MiNi SU on my IMP (90deg neck, on a banana 28/36 manifold).

Excellent & 0% grief running ;)

Hey Mark,
I have some Weber carbs in DA UNIT.
I shall see what model they are, and let you know, but they could do with a rebuild and one is in a box in bits, but not hard to sort out.
