That Delta is extraordinary, i absolutely love it! I always scan the french sites for a cheap early delta but I havent come across one yet.

Can't believe it! Just after spotting the "barn find" Skoda on this thread I was watching an ancient episode of "The Saint"-so ancient it was in black and white- and Simon Templar has just pulled up at a set of London traffic lights next to... a Skoda Octavia! On the basis that trouble always comes in threes I'm awaiting my next Skoda spot...

Ford pick up in storage:

Mint Bluebird from same supplying dealer as my Sunny:

Posted Image

Spotted this Capri this morning and turned round specially for you lot to go and take pics  Bonus points for dodgy council estate backdrop:

Extra shite points for the mismatched headrests

Not had much spottage recently but here's a couple of good ones when I was out and about yesterday. The Cav is really tidy and though it's a locally registered car, I'm pretty certain I've not seen it about before. Only spotted it because I made a bit of a detour:

This Brava made me LOL. Check out the OMG SAVAGE TRIMZ!

Despite being on my travels quite a bit of late, my spots tally is embarrassingly paltry

This Granny the only one from Northern Ireland:

Posted Image

Barcelona was only slightly more lucrative.

Polo still doing sterling service:

Posted Image

Very smart Onion:

Posted Image

Odd Nissan Tradevan. Saw quite a few of these but never heard of it before:

Posted Image

In among the new Seats and Skodas this tidy Renner 21 taxi stood out triumphantly. Worth seeing 3 pics I reckon:

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

And that's the lot. Bugger all really

Posted

That 21 taxi is ace, kudos to that guy who doesnt want a newer one.And the Tradevan is a new one on me too, never heard of it until now.

Posted

Glad this has bobbed back up, that Red Capri is just how I like `em, mid to base spec but the guy has made the effort with the Ghia alloys, just to liven it up a bit. Superb.

Posted

Trade van would be the old Spanish-built Ebro, that dates back to some time before the Civil War I think. I've seen restyled ones of varying ages in France and Italy.

Posted

The SORN notice is still up to date on that Cavalier.2.0 litre too so might be a 130.

I had a trip down to the Triumph spares day at Stoneleigh at the weekend and came back with next to bugger all - serves me right for having one of the most obscure Triumphs I suppose! Still, I caught up with a few people and got som spots. Triumphs of shite interest first, then car park, then randoms. I also took loads of pics of the green 1930s Dolomite cos I thought it was gorgeous. Sorry about a lot of arse end shots - the sun was really strong.

Belgian 2000 looks well on these wheels. Valencia is a lovely colour:

Posted Image

Posted Image

Unusual colour for this Dolomite but I think it suits it:

Posted Image

Tidy Acclaim:

Posted Image

Posted Image

Wow, this looks factory built....

Posted Image

Rare Standard pick-up:

Posted Image

That's seen a few winters!

Posted Image

Courier van - rocking horse shit:

Posted Image

Contender for inappropriate application of wheel trims. Actually I'm jealous of these because they are the same as on a Bluebird I had and mine were in shit condition:

Posted Image

Wow - Avon Acclaim. Not a Turbo though:

Posted Image

Posted Image

Here's that lovely Dolomite:

Posted Image

You forget what some cars look like when you haven't seen one for ages. Mk2 Astras are like that for me, this one a very late one:

Posted Image

Posted Image

Nice SD1:

Posted Image

Mk1 Fezza:

Posted Image

Posted Image

This Rover was for sale but a bit pricey at £950 as it needed a bit of work to make immaculate. Great reg number for my area though!

Posted Image

Posted Image

This Metro Cab belongs to someone in my village, been trying to catch it for a while:

Posted Image

Delightfully scruffy Escort at Leicester Forest:

Posted Image

Yet another Mk2 Astra:

Posted Image

Posted

Great pictures. Its nice to see some MKII Astras still around, I know what you mean, I see next to none now. That Avon Acclaim is brilliant!

Funny enough, I saw a 3-door MK2 estate on the way home from work tonight. It was white, with a blue driver's door and a primered front wing... :)

Nice pics, but that pickup... is that just a small trailer they fitted on the back?

Small update. I don't go out of my way to photograph cars from the arse end, it's just coincidence!

Saw this H-van today, looks to still have the French signage on the back:

First outing of the year in my Datsun Violet was Newark Autojumble on Easter Sunday. Aside from a couple of cheap books and some consumables I came back with bugger all as per usual but it was a decent day out and reminded me of the Datsun "appearance to driving pleasure ratio". The prettier it looks, the more shit it will be to drive

Anyhoo here's a selection from the car park starting with an almost shite-spec Granada:

Posted Image

Yay! Rickman Ranger. A reminder that if you make motorcycle luggage you probably shouldn't try making cars:

Posted Image

Very tidy late BX estate - liking this a lot:

Posted Image

Posted Image

Seventies-tastic:

Posted Image

This look could really catch on:

Posted Image

Hiace makes a change from the usual Delicas and Previas:

Posted Image

This FB is the identical colour to the one I had. This is the Deluxe with four on the floor whereas mine was the povvo model with three on the tree. I'm really good with these motoring technical terms aren't I:

Posted Image

Same engine but slower and more capacious:

Posted Image

WTF No.1 (c/w appropriate reg number):

Posted Image

"Actually love, it's a Magnum" Yeah baby:

Posted Image

I am rather partial to a nice TR7:

Posted Image

Yes!

Posted Image

Tidy Honda Ballade:

Posted Image

Not sure I've seen one of these in the metal before:

Posted Image

WTF No.2:

Posted Image

Posted Image

Beautiful Beemer. And there were two of 'em!

Posted Image

OM NOM NOM:

Pog van:

Couple of very cool 70s Yanks:

Really nice early Herald:

Mk1 Crab is the rarer Morris version:

Stylish Westy:

When did they stop making these?

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j188/1300mash/Newark%20April%202010/IMG_3567.jpg

Hirst Cabs!

POWAH!

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j188/1300mash/Newark%20April%202010/IMG_3562.jpg

And I saved the pant wetting OMGZ best for last! C-REG BEDFORD MIDI in near mint 35000 mile condition

Ace! That Midi is a stunner, had no idea they were around on a C plate, surely the oldest one left? Im quite excited for shows this year, havent really been to too many.

Posted

I like the Gold Capri and that Midi is very impressive!I haven't been to a proper autojumble for a while now. With the sort of cars I have I never really bother looking for spares, just cheap magazines, brochures, kits etc. Though I did get a rather nice boxed mid-80s Sanyo stereo for £10 at one last year.
