Remember when the Japanese were snapping these up like cold sushi ? £10,000 was quite a common figure and most of them ended up there. Wonder if they've started coming back like MG RV8s and Discoveries ?

I love the interiors but don't like the grille, so a mk2 1300GT Countryman with VdP interior for me please.

What's happened to the headlamp trims? They appear to be missing. Seems good value though. These really are lovely, albeit not as early as the super-plush early ones.

Headlamp trims appear to be about £30 a side on eBay - I had a look yesterday.  I could be quite tempted by this, but have been recently bitten by putting down a deposit on a car I hadn't seen that had minimal description and too few photos.  So I'm out.

i think the headlamp rims could be bought cheaper, i would have looked at my local car resto place for them but not quite had time with having a new born son,

i have dropped the price, i would take £1700 as my lowest

^ I dare say you're right about cheaper headlamp rims being available, I'd guess they're a fairly common fitment and I didn't look very hard.

If they're anything like Mini headlamp trims, don't waste your money buying cheap ones. They rot even more quickly than Minis.

no i didnt think it was stroppy atall just thought i had seen them cheaper, some things on ebay are slightly inflated for no reason (we all no this but im not starting a hate ebay thing or that) its something i really should have got ages ago but just never quite got too it

 

thanks on the congrats, hopefully he will be into the classics seen at some or hopefully just have a keen liking for older cars, would like to have some classic when hes growing up so having drives and general running about is a bit more exciting than your modern car lol 

 

but instead of this vanden plas i would like something bigger like the rover or triumph
