Rustycarlover
Don't know if this has been done already , but thought it would be interesting to see your scrapyard finds , eg the car tucked away in the corner

DodgyBastard
Wow that looks very interesting, neat and orderly and most of the cars look rot free...
dave21478
Yeah, very little rust. The red mkII Cavalier / Opel Ascona kills me....I love those cars and this one was completely mint - I seriously mean not a single blemish on it. It would polish up like a new car. I assume scrapped due to mechanical failures...they are a rare sight here so probably no cheap source of a replacement engine back then.
catsinthewelder
Are those recent photos? I bet someone would be tempted to drag a trailer down from blighty if the yard owner was willing to sell any of that lot complete. Plus if there's a trailer coming down from England it could carry a Vauxhall engine for the nice bilingual chap who's offering to haggle with the scrappy and help load up some dead old frog tat
chaseracer
Is there a good bonnet among this lot? All the right colour too. I'm happy to collect...
dave21478
The pics are a couple of years old. The place has changed somewhat but its still full of chod - I will need to get some updated photos. Nothing leaves intact though - selling whole cars is off the cards. I asked about the red Ascona and got a resounding "non".
Vin
Brilliant. That yard is the exact spitting image of my garden after I win the Euromillions. Justin Case, 155V6, fordperv and 4 others

richardmorris
Lots could be there because of the French scrappage scheme. The CXs look less rusty than many on the road here.
Mr Lobster
Blimey, I could spend a whole bucketload of €€€€€€s in there and come back with enough old Renault bits to last me a lifetime.
