I suppose they are looking for a trunk road - maybe they forgot the way.

It’s a tusk force!

I think this is an early 1971 Marina - outside one of BLMC plants.

It's a 'full-fat' TC and is probably as close as possible to what Roy Haynes and Harris Mann intended for the project - in that it's very much a  Ford rival with the extra brightwork and attention to detail that the MK3 Cortina had - the wheels and TC badges are particularly well done.

Pity so many other Marinas ended up being so plain in a range of not great colours

Looks a bit early for an EV but ICE cars never caught fire did they?

Pleasant looking poster in that shop window WTF !

Bollywood film poster would be my guess. Back then people were not triggered so much by what a film was called and what appeared on posters.

Totally agree. The TC looked stylish & quite sporty. BL being BL of course then chose to make it dowdy. Odd decision making totally opposite to what Ford would do who turned out some really dull stuff but always had a stylish sporty model in a model range to make the others look cool.

Marketing has changed but even spinning off the 'TC' separately as a range would have been something or even as an MG. I think Stokes had something against MG - but it was profitable I assume.

Take the cars off the line - ship them to Abingdon - beef up the suspension - swap the badges and you have a 'halo' model.

Of course early on they could not make enough - and being dear old BLMC possibly did not have enough glitzy trim in stock. I think dealers got whatever they were allocated by the men in brown coats.

Of course the Coupe with a hatch wd have been even better.

Ah - the BMC 'what if' game.

Marketed in 🇫🇷 France.

Not sure he did, the screen aperture and roofline look pretty good, and with the damage to the door I'd say it got overtaken by the rest of the car.

Think someone put it on the bonnet afterwards.

Not good tho, I agree
