I had no idea that the Looe branch once ran via a road tramway to the fish quay…

I was near there in the 90s. It was late May and the Col de L’Iseran was still blocked by snow.

Yep, there's a bit about it at the station up the road. Here's a current shot,

The train back to Liskeard is a pleasant ride and involves the crew having to swop ends and operate a set of points.
