Believe it or not this was actually an early test mule adapted and used by DeLorean around 1975.

I do like "ghost signs", what a cool shot.

Kids with toy guns & a terraced street with hardly any cars in it !

Hurricane 'Low Q' 1968 threw the toys out of the pram at Fords too.

Blowing down chimney-stacks was one of it's party tricks.

They'll probably never find the 'O' from that Consul badge now.

It has a boot-lock fitted, so it looks like maybe the whole rear section lifted up like a tailgate.

Passat Malzoni fixed hardtop coupe which went into production. Hints of late 60s Mustang roof.

Imagine the rear view of the cross between an Orion and a Mustang II.

Some sort of Brazilian Passat idea from 1977.

This has my imagination rolling, a slant 6 or V8 rwd 2+2 coupe Passat.

A mate had a blue V-reg 1300CL one of these around 1988, looked pretty similar to this one. Bought for £40 with 3 months' MOT.  You couldn't open the rear hatch as the whole hinge area was crumbly rotten, the rear edge of the roof skin was 3 full-width strips of duct tape.  Floor was rotten and sitting in the passenger seat was like being in a rocking chair. Great fun to thrash about.

This one's actually a pre-production test mule. (At least I think it is).

That reminds me of the launch advert for the Peugeot 206. Still makes me chuckle to this day.
