wheel information required

I am looking for a set of wheels and was wondering what this means on the back of the wheel

At a guess I'd say 6j wide 14" wheel, offset et40

Not sure what #3 means but I would imagine 40 might refer to offset, 6J the rim width and 14 the diameter.

6J means 6 inches wide, IIRC that means tyres widths of something like 185 to 205. 14" is the wheel height.

I am firmly in the buy fit if wrong sell on camp where offset is concerned

next question how do I find my offset

 

wheel is 145mm wide

depth from outer rim lip to mounting face 120mm

so is it centre of wheel rim 72.5mm take away the depth of 120mm = offset 47.5mm ?

 

I is shite at this wheel malarkey

I'd say looking at the back of the wheel + 40 as in fwd fitment

That's a good site and bookmarked now,  my car is not on it though so I used the cordia/ tredia info instead.
