Chrysler Grand Voyager to go.

Right, the time has come at Tetley Towers for an economy drive, so my Grand Voyager has to go.

It's a '99 T reg 3.3 V6 auto.
Mot until May 29th
Tax until the end of May.
There were two advisories on the last mot:
Front tyres - replaced.
N/s bottom balljoint - not replaced, although I do have the new part here.
It's boringly reliable. Does not burn oil or use water.
Does not overheat in traffic.
The bonnet needs repainting. It's been like it since I've had it, but it hasn't bothered me.
Seven seather, all leather in a delightful biscuit colour. All seats in good order.
Half a new exhaust a few months ago.

These pics were taken last summer. It's absolutely filthy at the moment, but I'll be giving it a wash this week.

I think £500 is a very reasonable place to start negotiations for this piece of Yank metal.

Blimey, this ad fell off the first page quickly.

Get back up there.

Are these miserable on mpg?

Personally, I don't think they are, but then it's a bus and it's a V6.

Tootling around it really isn't too bad.

I think the fuel/ignition system on this one is pretty well sorted tbh.

It has never failed to start.

Got my eye on something else, so £400 anyone?

An awful lot of vehicle for that money.

I like that.  It's probably a good thing you're so far away from me...

Too late, too late, I hear you cry,

As the man with the bargains passes by.

I thought you had flogged this yonks ago.

Or did you buy another one?

This IS the "other one."  I seem to remember showing interest in the previous version at the time...

Been smoking about in this for a year now.

Had a white one before this, but the 'box started playing up.

Wish I'd persevered with it, pretty sure it only needed a gearbox service.

Cartakeback had it in the end.

Ideal vehicle for a "builder" as with the seats taken out this makes an ideal van with the bonus that they dont incur ££££ levy at the local tip.

It'd probably be ideal for my (London dwelling) sister, but I'm not sure she's au fait with automatics.

A couple of years ago when I needed a 6 seater, for a weeks holiday my father in law paid £800 to rent a people carrier for 9 days.  This would have been half that.

And still no one wants it.........

A mate at work bought one of these last year just to go to Eurodisney.

He sold it as soon as he got back.

Cheaper than hiring.

Ive done that in the past, bought a clunker when I needed some wheels quick and cheap.

Wife mangled our Mk 3 Fester so I spent £200 buying, taxing and lobbing a battery on a Mk2 - smoked around in it for 3 weeks, got the Mk3 back and sold the Mk2 for £200.

Jobbed.

Dont really want a big bus though.

And still no one wants it.........

Someone does, he's just trying to justify it to himself given that it's almost exactly not what he set out to buy.

I kicked a Volvo V70 estate into touch tonight.

Owned by a woman. I'd sent her a couple of texts about it.

I was rather hoping to go and collect it on Monday or so.

I asked her if the engine, clutch, gearbox and cooling system were ok, as I didn't want to be stranded on the way home.

She came back with a really niggly text talking about timewasters etc.

I told her to scrap it.

People are so obsessed with buyers 'wasting time' nowadays, just for asking about mechanicals or wanting pictures.

Sold and gone.

I am now shiteless for the time being - strange feeling.

I will let the new owner introduce himself as and when.

I wouldn't rule out having another Grand Voyager, I'd just had my time with that one.

Bloody good bus that should serve its new owner well.

It has stayed in the AS family.
