My sister was involved with organising Throckmorton Airshow and has been pestering me to go for a few years now. I finally broke and agreed to come this year expecting it not to be my scene at all, but it was amazing. I like planes more than I thought!

 

Anyway, she got Daddykins to drag out the old Mog:

 

 

 

He thought it suffered OMGHGF while queuing to get in, but it came back well enough and fast enough to frighten my mom, so hopefully not.

Shame about the weather at the start of the show and how utterly crap I am at photos, but it was a FAB day.

 

The weather turned out ok in the end and the planes were ace, especially excited by the Typhoon, rhymes with swoon.

'nother local car show we happened to stumble upon... saw some tractors go past while we were planting stuff in the allotment and managed to track them down to just over the road in Glynllifon park:

This Barracuda had the steering wheel on the wrong/right side depending how you look at it. Apparently some RHD models were made for the UK, South America(?) and Australia

 

 

I never liked American stuff much but the 60s/70's stuff could grow on me.

It was next to a vaguely "interesting" looking Minor pick-up a GORGEOUS Avenger Tiger and a MK1 RS2000 but I couldn't get pics because the 6 or 7 people associated with the cars had set up a barricade of deckchairs in front of them and looked at me like I was a loony when I tried to get closer to the cars. Why take your stuff to a show if you don't want people to see them? What is that about?

That's Caernarfon Castle, good place to visit. Keep an eye on the CADW website as I think they do free admission days occasionally.

That 200 Quattro is a nice looking piece of kit (although I am not sure on the wheels). That was probably rare when it was new.

I then found that the gods of shite spotting had lured me in and then decided not to smile upon me with such luck again. We parked overlooking the entrance and it went something like this: rover 400, modified jap thing, rover 600... by which point I'd got my phone on camera and held it up expectantly to only see Audi A3, Juke, recent beemer Audi A3, Astra and so on until my arms ached so I'd put the phone down and all the shite in North Wales would pile in again. And repeat.

That's one of the most pogweaseled panels I've ever seen. Going by how the rest of the paint is pretty red I wonder if the owner is preserving it like that.
