A 1.6? I bet that’s great fun to drive, and very relaxing on the motorway.*

I PROMISE, if that's still doing the rounds next year when my c$$$$ matures I'm going to buy the fuck out of it and MOT the Fokker and report back to some extremely tired of it peoplesssing-isnt-ism-ists

I know, I know, we shouldn't mock the afflicted. But it's back, and that's all that needs to be said

His medication seems to be working, the adverts are getting less and less pent-up over time.

The car's still overpriced by a couple of hundred quid though. And he should mend that bloody handbrake.

Classified ad price:£12,995.00

I spose its a bit dear but WOW,not to sure about the silver grille though.

I agree about the grill now, but I have driven one away back in 1983. Back then I thought it was the bees knees, even though it belonged to the Ford retail garage where I worked. The grill was okay back then, however we now only see these available with a black grill now. If I had the money I would be very tempted!

It was the plain black plastic grille as original. They were never painted at the factory until the 81 big bumper facelift. I do remember a few Sapphire's having that done when they were nearly new though. Now then where's my anorack?lol.

405s are light cars, it's probably quite pleasant.

+1 on that I borrowed one for a while and it was pretty good, probably represents the phase between lightweight construction that was around in the time of OMG Metro/Uno/Visa does 60 MPG and before cars cars started getting lardy with the SIPS and gizmos..

Wouldn't take it get my hopes up for Santa Pod but with a well sorted chassis they were a fun bit of kit, I'd give it the nod over the 406, and that would be largely for its lightish chuckability.

Great cars for mastering the dark art of going quickly by never going slowly.

Didn't they even come with the 1.4?

Apprently so. Style and GL models between 1992 and 1994 had that engine option.

0-60 in 15.6 seconds so not as breathtakingly slow as you'd expect/hope. Not fast either, though :)

I sort of know this car. Until fairly recently it lived on a pretty shite council estate in Basildon, and was gradually becoming more and more shitey. Owned by an older chappie, who has since replaced it with a similar aged Ghia saloon, it was in deperate need of at least a wing, and a dose of Volksangyl's detailing and cleaning skillzorz.

And Now...!

The car is 100% solid and has been maintained regardless of cost.

i doubt that.

This 1985 Ford Granada is in fantastic all round condition.

From 50 yards.

I may be doing the bloke a dis-service, but somehow i doubt it.

It's £2995 if you care.

Looking at the condensation on the windows i think he'd be better advertising it at a vegetable steamer.

I have no idea what these rice rockets are worth, but this seems a bit steep, considering its a K10 Micra with what appears to be £150's worth of bodykit. Applied by S Wonder and S Hawking bodyworx...

These little March things are pretty rare and sought after by the Jap fans, that's not a bad price if it's in good nick.

One of my dream cars right there.

I know we all like different things. But if I had the money, I'd be all over that.

STOP PRESS.......... A certain white 405 appears to of been sold as he has ended early because the item is no longer available !!!!!!. I can't believe he sold it maybe the pikeys turned up with a hiab and had it away !!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321101848820? ... 1423.l2649

Maybe now's the time to message him berating him for pulling the advert early saying you were really interested in it and think it's unfair that the auction hasn't been allowed to run it's course !!

Might just get him back to his short, stroppy ways :D

Posted

I was messaging that guy about the 405 the other day, and told him he will never sell it for that price unless he MOTs it etc. I think he may be doing it as after quite a few messages he seem to agree.

I like the comment of people stop pissing around and buy my car because you don't know a good car when you see one. Yes mate we do know a good car (albeit open to interpretation) but it ain't worth what your asking with no mot.

Posted

I hope he has sold the fucker, if for no other reason than it means an end to it cropping up on here every few weeks like a bad smell...

We should have invited him to join the Autoshite family really

Ironically, with the new member access problem that we've currently got he wouldn't have been able to take part... he'd have had to stand on the sidelines... watching... :D

Maybe he has been.

Who's to say he hasn't been watching us mercilessly ripping the hole out him on here these past few months and has been unable to do anything about it?

Maybe we should brace ourselves for the mother and father of mouthfuls of abuse when/if the floodgates ever get opened.
