Yep.

Duttons history is quite an 'interesting' read. There is a website about him made by a disgruntled customer somewhere.

I kind of respect his ambition in his early life, but thats about it.

"But by patronising and insulting the intelligence of a collective forum in the first post, no favours were really done there. Like David Brent says, always start with a joke."

I've re-read my first post. I don't see where I've been patronising and insulting to the intelligence of a collective forum? I did write a retort to the OP's disparaging and opinionated remark made about my ex-car and his comments about the price that it's currently being marketed at, not to mention his witting, sarcastic comment about me ("WHO?")....though that might have been my misinterpretation of genuine ignorance.

What I would say is, being called variously a "Troll", a "Nob" and a "Cunt" doesn't really do any favours to the collective intelligence of the forum.

Any advance on "Cunt"?

Perhaps add "selective memory" to your growing list of negative personality traits.

However, what I will say to arm-chair...or rather 'computer-chair'...experts is this:

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory,[3]extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[4] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[5] The noun troll may refer to the provocative message itself, as in: "That was an excellent troll you posted."

If you automatically include yourself (and even more so the rest of the collective forum) in this group then perhaps you should add "paranoia" to your list? Hmmm,I wonder if there is such an illness as "Collective Paranoia By Proxy".....? Perhaps?

£4,500 :lol::lol:

'No dealers please'

You've got more chance of plaiting rocking horse shit than a dealer buying that for £4,500.

And demonstrably you've learnt nothing.

And...it's just occurred to me...I genuinely know someone who might well be interested in that 300SE! Honest! I'm sending him the link. Thanks for the heads-up on that! :wink:

That was an excellent troll you posted!

Are you a Troll too then?

You've made your point. You washed a car six years ago and you think that makes it worth £8000, people on here don't agree. Get over it.

This is becoming amusing now.

I beg to differ, it's as devoid of amusement as it's possible to get, though it'll no doubt degenerate further.

No, because, unlike those of yourself, if you look closely, none of my posts match that description.

Please now do the honourable thing and bow out and stop wasting our time.

Above is willswitchengage's pm to me just now ( I don't understand the secrecy?)

Even last post matches EXACTLY on all counts that definition! It is inflammatory to me. It is extraneous and off-topic. It's been done in an internet forum and done with the primary intent of provoking me as a reader and is a continuation of disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

Your last sentence is another example of an excellent troll!

Are you a secret or "closet troll"?

Oh! Another Troll!

Ok...final point and then I'm saying no more on the subject. Anybody who says anymore must, by definition also become a Troll ( :lol: )

Richard, is this how you 'wash' cars?

Uh, uh, uh! Please don't reply otherwise that'll make you a Serial Troll! Remember, there's no right to reply or defend your corner here! Shhhhhhhhh.

Do you think that the thread could get back to being a relatively light-hearted poke at somewhat overpriced/optimistic sellers of automobiles and related paraphernalia? If you want a thread to discuss how well you detail cars,wether or not you think something is or isn't good value or the letters after your name et al could you start one of your own? That way this thread can get to what it is intended for, perceived* NotReallyABargainâ„¢ prices, not second rate trolling or pop.

Thanks,

Sam

*By me anyway. Because I can read the thread title.

derin100;

My friend, you've been on here 4 days, made 29 posts, and managed to upset a large number of people. Whilst I fully endorse your right to make any comments which you see fit to post, it would only be polite and well mannered to "ease yourself in gently", rather to take the somewhat belligerent stance that you seem to have adopted.

Oh, and ref that Mercedes....for that money, I would have expected them to clean the sodding door shuts.........
