Trailer lashed up ready to the Micrashed......

Is that some sort of tardis? Can't wait to see what you're going to collect in that. Motorbike of some sort?

Have you not seen the Transformers badge? Its the shitest Autobot 'Onto'.

Sadly as Jazz did not have a towing hitch he got left behind when they went to fight the Decepticons.

Its still not totally shite though. Its still a million times better than its GoBot equivalent which is half the size and only has one wheel after a dog chewed it off.

I think he's marrying his Micra in a civil ceremony.

You're wearing a Pink shirt and tie with a friendly teddy-bear badge on your blazer whilst driving a K11 Micra? You really are asking for trouble. That's one sure of way of getting yourself run off the road by pretty much every other car on the road.

Welllllll,

Several months ago a chance comment got me bidding on a motorbike - 650cc of 1980's US spec Nighthawk in fact, running but with a carb problem.

My problem, how to collect it from a farm in the arse end of Gloucestershire? I did scour eBay for bike trailers but nothing local came up at am amount I was prepared to pay, and I already had a camping trailer so a plan was hatched, Unfortunately in the mean time I got a job interview, this morning, so my planned early start with the MicraShed went tits up and I didnt leave Preston until 10.40.... Stopping only for a piss stop and change out of my suit en route, and then stopping again to take a phone call about the job.

AND WERE OFF...

PISS STOP

14.30 hours I rolled into the farmyard and was greeted by the site of many many BX's.

This clearly was one mans attempt at breeding BX's in captivity for release into the wild. Then we went to the pub (in his BX).

As the bike was for a resto anyway and would be getting stripped down, it was decided to flat pack it for ease of fitment into the Micrashed, so was in a couple of hours flat packed to this:

The selection of Zorsts and tank and what not are in the back of teh car.

Then set off back home at 17.50 hrs..... More road works by Birmingham to keep me out of mischief and soon it was time for another piss and petrol stop...

Finally rolled in at 21.20 hrs.

Now the fun begins!

Is that Doc's gaffe? I had to do a double take when I saw the black BX, thought it was my old GT automatic for a moment!

It is indeed the Docs emporium - I have more pics on my camera I will upload at some point as he is breeding BX's, there were 11 that I could count...

King of BXs that lad, no mistaking and probably the nicest person you could ever hope to meet.

Love the BX GT. A rare beast!

Could you not have got the bike inside the Micra? Lovely* suit would serve to stop the forks/bars putting a window through.

Back of the micra was filled with many Zorsts, spare engine, 'lectrical bits, tank, seat and brightwork.

When nailed back together should look like this

However that seems a light year away at the moment...

You have collected a a bike and a load of bits, dressed in a suit with a pink shirt and tie and a friendly-teddy badge on the blazer whilst driving a K11 Micra up and down the motorway, even passing by Birmingham at one point and you lived to tell the tale

You are my hero man. You must have a sticker that says 'back off "premium car" driver or I'll nut ya one' either that or I really need some defensive driving K11 Micra tips off you.

Good luck with building the bike up.

Oh aye, how's his bus restoration coming along? He'd put shit loads of hours and effort into it last time I caught up with him. He was also tinkering around with his TD BX and had had some really impressive BHP/MPH figures out of it.

The bus is, well, looking a bit rough to me, but I am assured that it has much new metal and is in fact not that far of having its outer skin nailed back on and being ready to drive up North like as he wants a photo shoot at PBS. Indeed he spends much time at the barn nailing new metal and mechanical bits to it.

Looks rather like this at the mo...

The teddy is a "Nurse Pudsey" badge and the pink C is for the Hepatitis Trust.

Ive had Nurse Pudsey for 20 years and Im not going to get rid of him now. The pink shirt has been worn to the last 3 successful job interviews - partly because it makes me stand out and be memorable.

I do however think I need luck with the bike and possibly a genie in a bottle to help put it back together!

I am disappointed that the bus being restored looks modern!

I wanted to see a Leyland Olympian.
