Wallet was handed in at shop nearby! Asked shortly after twice. :)

Aa man checked took crank sensor off, cleaned it and it started. This was common back in the day and it needs a new one!

Minus one for the annoying glasses.

Plus a million for not killing the Volvo. Keep the faith.

Well, okay, minus one for the glasses, who am I to argue against Billy.

So do I, but they're not 273 foot square like the ones that bird is wearing.

What, someone stole your wallet just to hand it in? That's a bit random.

It was obviously lighter.

So was it your wallet? or your lighter?

Hers are normal sized, it's just that she's skinnier than sticky the stick insect so it makes them look big, and she's possibly underage, so for that reason, I'm out.

I think she is definitley underage, so no 'voting' from me.

RE the CPS, I had to buy one for the B230FK (sourced from a 1995 940) engine I fitted to my Volvo 360, cos I was a tard and left it loose, whereby it was melted by the EGR pipe into a non-functional, molten mess. </cool story bro. tell it again>

A new one, on the shelf at the dealers was only about £20.

I can't believe there are actual Volvo aficionado's who say this isn't a proper Volvo. I can kind've understand the Porsche 924 thing from 911 drivers as they're clearly arseholes, but 'It's not a Volvo'? Oh, right. :?

Anyways, I've discovered the front wing has a load of bubbling around the lip. It's quite ferocious but hasn't made any holes. It was bad though as the jet wash took all the paint off. The rear arches are good though. Also jet wash took off the headlight wiper rubber. It was obviously perished, as is the rear wiper, which is just a flat strip of rubber, the blade part long since departing. It doesn't so much wipe, as rub.

I have also bought a new crank sensor and thermostat (temp goes down on the motorway) and will be risking a long trek on Wednesday, which I'm sure it will do OK.

Station, I don't think anything's a 'proper' anything anymore.

I couldn't care less... I enjoy my not a proper Volvo just as much as my not a proper Porsche.

Not proper forum wit also 4 WINNAZ...

I'm taking the Impreza back home tonight as someone is coming to view, with a possibility of purchasing. So will be driving the Volvo down, and will get some sheeeyiiitee photos.

I'm going to sell this soon, tax is up at the end of the month, so will come with 'added tax value' on top of original price. It really is a fantastic, well loved car, and if you're used to cars with zero suspension that have rock hard seats and are horrible on fuel, this is the CAR 4 U! Will also come with new crank sensor installed and thermostat. BTW, it's automatic. GR£ for M6 driving at rush hour.

Needs a red or white block to be a proper Volvo PHACT

Not just auto ...

It's a CVT!

I didn't even realise until 'Watanabe Jon' had a go on Friday - rpm definitely doesn't rise with engine speed. Apparently, Wikipedia says only a 'few'** of these were made, due to DAF suing Volvo over copying their Variomatic with their Transmatic system (replace rubber belt with a steel one).

Also, this can lay claim to 'a very grim task of finishing off' a cat on the A5. By the time I saw a white and black, twitching shape on the road in front of me at 60 (which had obviously been hit by the car ahead of me), I only had time to make sure it went under the centre of the car, accompanied by three very painful seconds of the sound/feel of thudding and banging from the floorpan. Wasn't very pleasant at all.

A cat killing, CVT powered Volvo.

It must be a proper Volvo, it says Volvo on the bootlid and came with an annoying problem. Pretty cool that it's CVT as well, particularly as I thought those had finished with the 300 series cars.

Top shite-ing. .
