I like the Riva.

My Grandpa drove an orange Lada 1979 reg, I think. This would have been in the early 80s.

I remember there was much hilarity when looking at the section in the handbook entitled, How To Open The Doors.

Anyway, my Dad inherited that when Grandpa bought a white Riva which, alas, developed rusty wings.

All,

Thanks for comments. I will post up some pics this week. The Red Yugo is the last one in the Uk as its a 513. The Cabrio belonged to a guy who owns a Formula One team and his family were Yugo importers, acquired it from him. They are all used from time to time, average 200-300 miles each per year. Each one has been fully treated underneath to keep them preserved. I love the odd, different and scorned cars from the 80's....nothing better than a retro ride

Believe it or not the Cavalier has been on the road ever year of its life, averaging 200 miles each year. It was serviced each year at the local Vauxhall garage...maintained regardless. Its a 1600 auto.

I need to get myself to the opticians, my eyes clearly have something wrong with them, because I've just seen something genuinely wonderful on the internet.

What garage was the red Yugo registered at? That's a Chester area reg. no and the only dealer I can remember was on Brooke Street.

I will check, it was a special order for a chap, who used it for 12 months then put away. Was Scott Victoria Garage, Ellsemere. I have all the Yugo headed service items

This is amazing. Living the dream!

RE the Yugo 513, I think nigelbickle of this parish has one, and up until now it was believed by everyone, including the Yugo owners, club to be the last one in the UK (all the others are 511s).
You might want to let them know!
