Euro Car Parts Sale

Heads up, Euro seem to have a pretty good sale on. 50% off a lot of stuff, down to about a third off others. They're claiming there's money off everything.

Just got the bits to service the Touran, and do the front pads and discs on the Focus for £120 all in. Same parts were £180-odd last week, glad I didn't buy then!

They'll still send you home with the wrong stuff, naturally, but at least it's cheaper wrong stuff.

Lasts until midnight Monday.

Every so often they do have good sales. You have to burrow though.

Watch out for their cheap pads and discs (Eicher brand).

I fitted pads and discs both ends to my Legacy and they were rubbish, they lacked any bite and sounded awful when braking hard from speed.

The lining used seemed too hard and would 'glaze' easily.

In the end i took it all back off and dumped it back on their counter, and made them swap it over foc for Pagid stuff.

Thanks for the heads up, I've just bought a load of stuff. Free delivery as well!

I think they have the UK license as I think Eicher is Indian. No?

Yes, Eicher is Indian. It was originally a German tractor manufacturer, which was absorbed by Massey-Ferguson in the 1970s and the production was transferred to India. In 1982 Massey-Ferguson sold all assets and it became incorporated as Eicher Motors India, who still makes tractors, lorries and all kinds of components as a supplier to the automotive industry globally.

Pretty sure Euro Part own the brand though, or did at one stage...we must get to the bottom of this. It's very important.

Or maybe Eicher own then and it's the other round? (my thought for the day)

I order a lot of stuff from ECP.  They are normally about the cheapest place apart from taking a risk with ebay unknowns.  My only problem recently has been the delivery times.  Last two (£100+...) orders have taken two weeks to arrive and this is only because I chased the orders over the phone.

Top tip- collect the stuff at your local branch  :!:

I thought they sounded german so would be ok,but they were pony...

Also their 'Q drive' brand in my experience is 'iffy' too.

I fitted a pair of their bottom ball joints to an Ibiza and the grease covers perished within 9 months and one had play in it after a year.

I'm back to using my local unipart/express factors again cost a couple of quid more but never any problems.

I find carparts4less mega cheap. I think they sell the shite that Euro can't sell.

All service parts for the e200 came to the sum of 27.92. Everything was correct and fitted the car. I have a 30% discount code from mercedes forum that gives a discount no matter what car the parts are for.

isnt this company owned by the chap who sold eurocarparts?????

i swear by the local motorfactors the people who work there have extremely good knowledge, they know me by name and go the extra mile i think ive only ever had the wrong part once and that was down to it being in the wrong box in the first place

I've never had any issues with ECP, and the staff at my local one are great, although it helps that I research what I need first. Shame I'm skint, Amy needs new disks and pads on her Merv due to 20k of driving but sod all wear on the pads which have glazed, glazed the already quite shitty disks and starting to crack the friction material...

All voxalls are shit, all opelzzzzz are gr9

I use ECP for oil and service items, as they are much cheaper than the local motor factors. The nearest branch is 20 miles away, so I usually have stuff delivered. They use Yodel for delivery, whose service is simply diabolical, but I try to time my order so that delivery falls on a Saturday and this has so far worked well.

There's an ECP 'outlet' on ebay, which sells obsolete, returned and shop soiled items. I would highly recommend this, quite a few bargains to be had.
