I alway thought the triumph 2000 looked better in estate form.

And how about the 3 series tourer

I loved those 2000's but those wheels are minging!

Of these three sheds the back end of the grey one is probably the nicest. When they designed the DS they started at the front, spent far too much time making that look really ace, then went for an extended lunch and had to bash out the back end design quick before knocking off time.

After much consideration I reckon the Zodiac MKIII estate is a better looker than the saloon

As is the PA Cresta Estate

Might be in a minority of one though...

yes but the rancho is only based on simca floorpan/underpinings so only avl in one body style, where as the others in this post where avl as saloons, etc.

little known fact the 2000 range ests where built by crayford.

K11 style Micra Estate - though strictly speaking if I wanted an estate Micra I would plump for  a Pao

Triumph 2000 estates? They were built by Carbodies of London taxi fame.

They are one of the nicest cars EVER. Six cylinder and old style British luxury.

The fronts look the same. That's all I've got, sorry.

I read somewhere that a fact doesn't necessarily have to be true to be a fact. I believe that, and offer all opinions on that basis.

So cars that look better as the less popular estate (Volvo's excluded).

Contrary to the point of this thread and with apologies for attempting to blow OP's assumption out of the water, I think that

is more balanced and visually appealing than

v70 = no ovlovlove.

I agree on this, however new Volvo's completely went over my head when i started this thread.

Is it me or does the Superb saloon look like a 90's Beamer gone wrong from behind?

Renualt Laguna estate.

...which appears to be made of cardboard.

They have plastic wings too, as does the Clio II.

That most certainly wasn't tapped from behind! That car was hit quite hard. I was led to believe these things could take a dig.
