Looks like passenger access is limited full stop. No 110 degree opening rear door there then eh? Looks like a bit of a non-starter from a taxi perspective. It does indeed look like the stupider, uglier and possibly simple cousin of the Bini Cuntyman. Simply vile.

I agree it's pretty grim, although I'm not sure it's much worse than the comedy caricature TX series cabs we've had since 1997.

I don't get the concept cab up there.  Surely, to make something better you have to make it better, not worse?  More comfort for the driver would be a plus in a black cab, as would seats that were both comfortable and hose downable for the passengers in the back.  Wheelchair access and headroom have to remain as do doors that are easy to open and allow excellent access.  Bloating out the bodyshell isn't a good idea even under the pretense of passenger safety because you'll not get around a city like London as easily.  I bet the luggage space is abysmal too, not that it was fantastic on the FX4, but we're looking for things to improve here.

 

I bet it has a lousy turning circle, costs a lot to maintain and doesn't look anywhere near as good when its picked up a few on-the-job scuffs.  Verdict:  Concept cab r shit.

Product support, basically we take the new cabs and give them a good long run combined with a water leak/systems function test and a tweak of the bearings etc to make sure they are in top condition. The factory is an awesome old place and full of really nice people.
