She made it home in fine style. Blew the cobwebs off up to 90 (on a private runway in kent) then settled in to pootling speeds.

 

The Sunny is very solid. Very tight. And inspires great confidence.

 

Other than getting lost and the A19 getting shut and forcing us an extra 20 odd miles in the wrong direction, we had a lovely day collecting it.

The Sunny chairs are not getting on well with my lower back problems thus far. The base seems to tilt back at the rear like a sports bucket. May require cushion action.

The skids marks that end abruptly at the kerb near the grit bin were mine.

I created quite a few skid marks trying to battle over thin fresh snow lying over ice in the wee small hours on the way to work.

By far the largest were on my under crackers.

sound purchase - I had a 1.4ls bought off ebay many moons ago with 11k genuine. Sold it to a friend a few years back who wrecked - went to the scrapyard with 40k on - rust got the better of it !!

 

I have a brand new genuine front bumper for one of these and I might know where there is a new spurious o/s wing if required.

Cheers Cort. It is. The old man trademark worn seat bolster/rubber door seal lets it down a bit. Where some poor old soul (probably a war hero spitfire pilot) has dragged his carcass in and out with less and less effectiveness.
