Cheap mot'd taxed shite possibly required

Stepson has just used an immovable object to brake with and consequently has a 206 that is significantly shorter than it was before.

I'm looking for summat cheap, "drive away tonite m8" with a bit of rent and test.

I've already enquired about Cavcraft's 306 but domestic Management has started bleating that it's "too far away". (personally it doesn't bother me...)

So.

Has anyone got anything ready to go, not too big, not too sad to insure (he's gonna get tigerbummed as the other party is claiming whiplash and shit) and goodish on juice? Or am i after the moon on a stick?

I'm in Grays, RM16, near junction 30 of the M25.

Any suggestions/offers gratefully received, and i'll put them to him and his mother and see what we can come up with. I don't want to delve into the shit-mire that is ebay just yet..... :common070::smilie_auslachen:

If you trust the seller (and CavCraft is well dodgy, as we all know) then distance doesn't really matter.  I'd rather travel 150 miles for a car that will be as expected than 20 miles for something wrongly described from ebay

My old Sunny is up for sale retro rides. (325)

My ex is selling her taxed/MOTd MGF as well cheap!

@ Gareth, I fully agree, hence why I would have no problem at all buying from CavCrap, despite no being up to date with all my jabs, I would be prepared to travel to the frozen north, and risk catching rickets to avoid some POS from Romford being sold by a mouth breathing ponyfister called Darren. It's just the logistics of getting there within a limited timescale, and that Billy won't knock off £250 because I live so far away.;)

@ Mr Station, Looks interesting, well the Sunny does, I'll add it to the list, but as with Billy's Puggy it's a distance v time issue moar than anything.

Thanks for the input, any more for any more?

Not collected yet but I have seen and driven it.A 1999 ( I think) 1.0 litre Corsa bag o' shit , taxed until the end of the month and tested until October, but needs a copy certificate. Most of the car is blue although Banksy painted the bonnet on one of his off days. It's the three cylinder shake it all over model with no power steering and no tunes.Just under 100k and drives ok but it is what it is.250 sheets is about what I'd want.

I'll throw some pics up later when I've collected it.

That sounds like a suitably grim 'don't do it again' motor ;)

Well it is more horrid than I first thought. On the open road the car seems fine, however, driving through town it is hesitant at times.Don't know if it needs a new clip or something but the gearstick can lift off in your hand when selecting reverse.Horrid lexarse lights and a rattling chain add to the misery. So if you want to punish him buy him this.Oh BTW I can paint the top of the engine red to make it more desirable.

I wouldn't recommend it to someone I don't like...It really is that horrible

The Mk4 Escort that I had recently bought is up for sale due to Mrs. PBK moaning about my car orientated credit card bills. All it's needed thus far has been the change of weather strips, wipers and it needs the rocker cover gasket replacement fitting. It runs an absolute treat. It is taxed until end of October and MOT'd till early December and it'll go on classic insurance. Have a look at the thread and see what you think.

The car and I are just off the A10 (M25/J25). It has nearly a full tank of gas as well. Just want what I paid for it: £350.

Even the RWW works. The worst thing about it is the slightly floppy gear lever. Ford forum wisdom indicates an external spring on the lever is missing or not fixed on there properly. Same said forums say that a Puma gear lever conversion is easy, just a couple of holes need drilling. Who knows? I don't. It took me 20 mins to get used to the gear change and I am an older bastard.

well that escort looks like the winnah for sure..

It's going to get lobbed onto ebay later today, so if anyone wants it then speak now or forever hold someone else's piece (or something like that).

I'm amazed how nice parents are. When I biffed my first car, my folks said "looks like you'll be walking then!"
