Ready for off, the Rover scrubbed up ok. The Samara - less so.

We got to Lymm first, without a hitch!

The others soon landed, along with a pre-emptive AA truck.

What you can't tell on the vid of the Volvo wipers is that there is water pissing out of the pipes/gaffer tape under the bonnet and the spray works on one headlight, the one with the inoperative wiper of course

If eleven years of old Volvo ownership have taught me anything, it's that the headlamp wash/wipe systems on said cars never work properly and are better off being disconnected or removed altogether

Thanks for posting all the pics, I would have loved to have been a part of it again even with the dire weather... but I was doing boat shite. Spent a pleasant two hours standing around on the hard shoulder of the M25 and a garage forecourt whilst the sodding AA arsed around when the boat trailer blew a tyre. I was enjoying it so much I forgot all about taking some snaps to remember the occasion by.

Bike sales=record all time low. But worth a try!

Captain Knob Rocket studiously ignored my efforts to bring something different into the 1970's arena, but we have plans for him one year. If anyone does want to attract his attention it's best to be female and roll up in an absolutely gopping convertible.

Did you find out who those scrundapps belonged to? You should offer them as a surprise prize in a competition. Who wouldn't want to excitedly open a parcel that contained them?

Aye sorry Volksy and I pissed off a little early. Should have come to the pub with you lot looked fun. Was cool to put some faces to names and good to see the Council Estate still going strong.
