Six Cylinder goes Boy Racer

After some time looking I have bought a MG ZT-T, this will effectually replace the Rover 220SLi as my daily driver. Not my usual old man spec but a 190 bhp manual in vivid blue Met with leather and blue alcantara interior. The last owner fitted a Pioneer double din front screen with drop down rear screen, Focal subwoofer, X power exhaust, Piper Cross induction kit and darkened rear windows. I bought it because it was a loved car with a full service history, all jobs done on it and receipts for £4,000.

That looks lovely actually. They really suited that colour, more so than the awful bright yellow shade they did.

That does look a nice motor, I like those MG estates. I'll keep my eyes open for it around here :D

I still want a ZT260. I would be honestly tempted if I was in the market for a Q-car daily.

Very lovely. I remember a mate of mine had a giffer spec ZT, 2.0 job and it was great for hooning around, as if we did attract attention, we just switched to giffer-driving mode and blended right in!

That looks flipping sweet. I’d love one like that though I remember CAR magazine going on about the bone-hard suspension, are they really like that?

Have you still got the 220? Half of me would like it back, I miss it

The first ZT-T I agreed to buy off eBay a 51 plate was quite bumpy but I rejected the car because several significant faults were not described. The one I bought is a June 2003 car and it rides firm but does not hurt me.

I still have the Rover and you can have it back if you would like it?

One sweet looking car that, much better than the saloon version too I reckon.

Nice looking car...looks like the front side windows are tinted as well from the pic?

Yes the fronts are tinted, the seller assures me that they are only 30% and legal. You can see a difference between the front and rear. I have driven the car in the dark and they seem ok. One car with front tints I had was so difficult at roundabouts I had them removed.

Sweet purchase there SC. I remember you saying you were looking for one of these at POL. I reckon I might be going down the Rover 75 V6 path at some point.

In some ways I should have bought the Rover version as it would have been easier to find my old man spec, auto, piped leather heated electric seats, cruise control, sat nav etc. I went for the MG because I love the front on pre face lift cars and already belong to the MG Car Club as I have a 1972 MGB GT
