Crap photos, sorry. The car is an XR4i, or at least is badged as one, and, although it could do with a wax and polish, basically looks like it left the showroom only a few months ago.

Yep. Thats an XR4i alright. The only one to have the split rear side windows.

I cant believe that anyone would fabricate the extra pillar to create a pretend XR4i.

Would they?

Pressed steel plates? It has a high chance of FoMoCo being the first name on the log book. A beauty - caspian blue?

Deffo Caspian, but not FoMoCo. Lots of Foards had the pressed steel 'computer' plates including Father Bluejean's 2.0GL company motor.

Really like the old MK1 Sierras my neighbour back in the late 90's had an Identical XR4i that he sold to restore an accident damaged white Ford Escort RS1600i he sold it a few years later for about £1500! One of my friends is a Ford nut with a Escort MK3 XR3i. Escort MK3 1.3 L Estate / X2 MK1 escort 1600E and 1600 XL 4dr? An his brother got a MK1 Sierra Ghia 2.0 which someone chavved up badly previously with black glitter paint and a whale tail. They are planning on making it into a 5dr cosworth lookalike in metalic grey with Toyota Turbo engine. As you do.

Just lovely, that's how all Sierras should look and it's even got my initials on the numberplate :D

I've just procured a copy of the '82 Sierra launch brochure "Man and machine in perfect harmony", pre XR4i, making my Sierra reference library more or less complete!

Fuck! Want factor 13; going critical in T-minus ten seconds!

Interested in a swap for a three-bedroom semi?!

In Lawford?, Na your alright!

It's a pretty good folder actually, it even has a competition section where they compare the Sierra to stuff like the Cavalier, Talbolt Solara and Alpine, Ital and Princess as well as others.

Mistley, but you'd still be getting a rough deal....

I love how they chose such a drab Ambassador (if there ever were such a thing). No Vanden Plas vs Ghia!
