It's the most gorgeousest thing ever! It probably isn't worth £850 in this condition but I don't care. I'd even break my no-more-trailering vow for this baby. Why do cars like this only come up when I have no fugging money?

Gorgeous. RHD too. Lancia Appia isn't it? I used to work next door to a Lancia specialist and they had so many cars in their workshops and storage that I never knew existed. I love those suicide doors. Whats the rot like? Get yourself a credit card as a last resort, I doubt whether you'll ever get a chance like this again.

Thats unbelievable. Hope you can weld though, those sills look well wavy!

Got one of them. It's maxed out from my trip to Oz. I might have to end up phoning those people who do cash loans at 384576921547321452.9% APR.

Here's a couple of pics of the underneath. It's going to need some loving, but I've seen a lot worse. And it's sitting on the lift on its jacking points so the sills can't be that far gone.

A grille robbed off something old, a Hillman Minx and an afternoon with a grinder/welder. Job done.:wink:

Make it solid and run around in it 'as is'.What a cute little thing. :D

Was once a nice car but that's just an utterly rank example. What's with the modern indicator/side lights on the front and those look like tail lights off of something else. The body looks like wag central. I could think of better ways of spending 850 sheets TBH.

I'm with ratdat here to an extent. I thought it was some sort of eastern Bloc or Indian shite knocked together in the seventies using what ever bits were cheapest. Looking at the way the doors open 9which is well cool) then surely that must be dangerous in an accident if there's no pillar between them?

I love it :D I wouldnt like to start sanding down that paint though, I get the feeling there will be a blob of filler or two under there..Underneath looks surprisingly solid though, along the floors! Looks like its been sat for a while but.

Dream car. Well, not this one maybe... but an Appia. Or an Aprilia. Or an Ardea...

Lovely car but it does rather look like major ass ache and like its hiding rather a lot of filler and rustz at the moment :(

Don't do this. Please. Better - if you really want it - to negotiate an emergency "overdraft extension" with your usual bank.

Alas, on this occasion it wasn't to be. :( I do think that getting it back on the road would have been quite a labour-intensive process though, and I've got more than enough vehicles needing attention right about now.

I think this

was probably a much better buy anyway. 11 months' ticket, lovely squishy seats and sill-scraping body roll, all for £256. And no crap Renault autobox to worry about on this one either.

Not as yet - I'm trying to decide how to repair it. Head says buy a new chassis section and get it all done properly; wallet says get it patched up again so it can pass an MoT and then get it done properly at a later date when I have some spare cash (so probably never, then).

Ah, I thought you did your own welding. I'd guess that wouldn't be cheap in a garge plus they probably wouldn't do it properly anyway knowing most garages. I'd volunterer my services but I've got more than enough to do at present unfortunately.
