KRAZY Argenta loan scheme plan

I would like to be the first to make a commitment to take the Argenta, I will collect it from Crewe (very North for me I have heard Wolfs still roam at night!) add it to my fleet insurance, buy the road tax and run it for two months. I know this is a variation on Mr B plan so needs his consideration and approval.

I think the way it would work would be easier for Mr B if the next keeper was lined up ready to take over. All the next keeper of the Argenta would have to do is put their own insurance on it and pay me the cash in value of the tax. It will be based in Buckingham, Buckinghamshire and I will assist the next keeper collect it from me by collecting them from a local rail station such as Milton Keynes, Aylesbury or Bicester. I would be happy if someone else wanted it first and I took it latter I just want to experience the car for a while.

In my favour I have and drive a LHD car. Mr B will have to argue with me again for the pick-up time so I can save a couple of shillings on the train fare!

The side effect of this is that I would re-offer the 1994 Rover 220SLi for £100 + Road Tax. For those who did not witness the banter that took place when I bought this car from Mr B the car is tatty with a big crack in the windscreen. In it’s favour I have done over 500 trouble free miles in the last month and it is MOTed until Nov and taxed. The tax runs to the end of July and can be bought for the cash in value.

Have Argentas got the smoked perspex sun visors that slide out of the headlining like the 132 had?

i would be interested in that. I am back from Cambodia in July so need some chod in my life. Would have to persuade my brother to collect it unless you had somewhere to stash it?

I would love to meet up in a local pub, is anybody else within striking distance of Buckingham and fancies joining us?

Time to talk to your brother if you are serious. Unfortunately I have already spread out into a lay-by opposite my house so I will need the Rover to go to a new home. Whether the Argenta comes to live with me or not, I feel some fleet changes coming along and will need the space. So not to spoil this thread I will start a new one about the Rover and my fleet.

I'd deffo be interested in having this for a few months, either before or after 6 cylinder

I stoked this up the other day, fitted a pair of new brake hoses and took it for a blast as it looks like a 6-month SHITE CONTRACT HIRE deal is going ahead…… all being well the ARG is going to spend the balmy summer evenings cruising the mean streets of Coventry. Further news as it happens.

Excellent!

Even better news, there's apparently a place called Fanny in Cheshire!

Sadly, even though weird old Italobargeshite seems to find its way onto the drives and lockups, the Alfa 6 was the pinnacle and must* stay that way. Downsizing will be in full swing by the time the Coventry lease is up. Keep me to that. Please.

Fuck! How did I miss that. I'd like second dibs on it if the deal falls through- not only would I love an ARG, but I could really do with a second car because I've gotten rid of the RAG ROWER and my classic policy is only unlimited mileage if I happen to own another car!

I've previously lent out my cars in this way (including R6, R8, R12, Mk 1 Civic), just to keep them in use and of use to someone. Works well I think. Good stuff Mr B!

No Argenta for me, Oh well that’s me back on a push bike then!

Well, for those that haven't guessed, my application for a Krazy Argenta Loan was the successful one.

I picked it up last night (1 April to make the most of my 6 month's tax) and had a thoroughly enjoyable and uneventful cruise home to Coventry, and to work and back today.

Cheers Mr_B!

A few photos from my trip to Crewe to follow when I get a chance...

Hey, that's me! At the most expensive petrol station in Cheshire.

He likes to spread us about and took me to the M supermarket but it was raining there and all the way home! Good Luck with the car and I am looking forward to hearing of its adventures.

Well this is back home after 6 months under the stewardship of Worldofceri!!!! It seems to have been a very painless experience for both car and 'renter'.

I was thinking earlier that maybe you should try driving this for a bit instead of buying another motor.

I dont fancy doing 80 miles a day in this, specially through the winter, it'll completley knacker it in no time

Glad that worked out. I was just thinking to myself earlier that I wish there was a way to just hire some interesting shite, and keep swapping it at the end of every month.
