Im currently in a 'need to get some Jap cars' 1/43rd but I cant find anything. Ebbro looks decent but I dont know where to start, the Civic you do Lobster looks nice. Any help?

Which Civic? Minichamps or one of the Ebbro ones?

Peter that collection is amazing! I have never seen some of those 1/43rd models you have. I do have a few schabak and gama items, but they command fairly high prices now. You got any others?

amazing collection

:o:o

if this was to be believed the tyres would be far more expensive than the FSO they are on :lol::lol:

Superb collection you got there. Still very impressed :D

 Mon Dieu.

Who makes the Corrolla and Volvos? They are really nice! Lots of matchbox stuff i recognise from my youth too!

Posted

Stahlberg. They're about 1/20th scale, plastic. Nicely detailed - I bought a couple of Saab 900 Turbos at a boot sale a couple of years ago for a fiver and promptly sold them on eBay for £60  Beautiful collection, Peter C.

Hell's teeth, I've seen model shops which don't carry that much stock! And there's me agonising over where I can display the half dozen or so I've got!

Posted

Jeez, what a collection! Are you trying to get 44 of these Skodas?

Posted Image

And these, looks like you're buying them all, then destroy them all but one to increase the value... or do you have a bad memory so you keep buying the same model over and over?

Posted Image

Are the two down on the left Fiat 500/Autobianchi based? They look absolutely amazing! Double cab Cinque-van-to.

Posted Image

Posted

totally agree my model shop carry's about 5% of that lot, stonkin' collection

hudson, that trabant looks the bomb squire, excelled yourself yet again with it on that trailer 8)8)8)8)

VW, Thanks for the reply about the Trabant....The garage is looking brilliant. The Fez is wearing Speedlines....Pug 1.9 GTi....dunno about the other two, although the Cav looks like its wearing Scooby rally car wheels. A couple of the figures look like they're pissed up.... or is the dude by the red Cav checkin the sills....?

I did a bit of outside photography to see if I've managed to replicate tarmac on a little diorama base.......cost fuck all to make and was built in about an hour, but its great for displaying models.

somewhere in amongst that giant hoard was a photo with two what appear to be Series 3 Jaguar police cars, except they are 2 door. What's that then? Also, I'd love to get an XJ40 like the green one in one of the first photos.

Just spent all my budget remaining this month on one of these:

Posted Image

Posted

Im not actually sure you know, after looking on google it came up with this baseplate:

Posted Image

No manufacturer name, and it says USSR, so perhaps the model is older than me.......

It cost me £12, plus the £5 more for postage as its from Holland. There is another one on the bay at the moment I think.....

Are they rare? I have heard of them before, but does anyone with a wider knowledge know anything more?

Also, Peter, I see you have a schabak Passat? How much did that set you back? I really do want one of those.

Posted

No. Never come across one of them but presume it to be reasonably old :? Did you see my reply about the Hondas btw Brammy?

Posted

Ah yes just looked back now Lobster, it was the Ebbro one I am interested in! Ill have to wait til the end of the month to buy one I reckon, how are they as models?

Posted

The Ebbro stuff is pretty good, certainly comparable to Minichamps in terms of finish / detail etc.

Posted

1;43 two door Range Rover Classic. Who makes that then? And well done Hudson, I thought the top picture was real at first.

Solido, apart from it having non orange front indi's and red rear lenses, is actually a nice model, have resisted the urge fer 32" Chrome Rimz
