Hey, that's ace but I don't see Barbie anywhere?

SWEEEEEET! That looks well nice.

What are the plans with it? Daily hack? Minor resto? Quick ownership to tick it off the list? OMG RATLUK SLAMMED RS TURDO REPLIKA?

BMC Dan knows this car, from when it was in the hands of the original owner. Looks a good buy :)

Probably a quick spruse up and shortish ownership. I figure that I'll not lose money on it if I get bored in a couple of months. Who knows...

That is such a honey, when i clocked it on the bay my eyes started going round and round inside my head like Sylvester the pussy-cat when he sees a hot female cat with big eyelashes winking at him, and red hearts started rising up from the top of my head then popping.

An escort pictured outside the garages of some 60s council estate. Win! Enjoy, looks great.

I thought that was cheap at the winning bid so getting a second chance on it was a result. Good score, I like a Mk3!

I didnt think cars like that existed till I found this forum. Thats in amazing condition considering its an early 80s Ford, which would normally have disolved by now.

I had a Y plate 1.6L back in the early 90s which was a shed and sounded like you had thrown all your spanners into the washing machine on a fast cycle.

Bloody fast car tho and good to drive, pity Fords now make cars for dickwads that NEED a car but dont actually like driving very much.

I reckon you could keep that a liitle while then advertise it on the Blue forum for a good few pounds more than you paid for it.

The back to front baseball cap ( because they think it hides receeding hair) wearers will tear your hands off for it.

Better still bring it up to scratch and save it from said hat wearers because there really isnt many of those left in that condition.

Great buy!

Hey that's sweet as, not seen one that nice for a long time. Can't figure the colour, thought it was Carribean Blue but its a darker hue.

I love the shape of the Mk3.

Enjoy!

Well bought. What this thread needs now is an epic saga of heroically overcoming the odds to get it home :D

GL spec is definitely for winners - I always liked that Ford were too mean to tool up for a chrome surround on the rear quarter windows on the estate model.

Looks like maritime blue or nautilus blue, most likely the latter I'd say.

I collected it and it's great! No issues apart from a slight pull to the left. So I'm afraid there'll be no heroic tales of limping home using my pants as a makeshift headgasket, or refilling the cooling system with a mixture of Iron brew and urine. It's all good, pictures to come at the weekend.
