We went along for a look, the guy said he'd sell two of them, the green twr 626 coupe for £700 and the silver 323 4x4 for £800, he couldn't bare to let any others go even though he was admittedly skint, out of work with health problems and a disabled wife and daughter to look after.

Are the 4x4 323 not very very rare now? My Gradfather bless him had a champagne gold 323 Javlin on a f plate, lovely car.

I like those old 'Hirst shape' C/D/E reg Mazda 626's. I couldn't pay £800 for a project one though. Were any models available with injection or were they all carb??

Late 2 litres (from C plate) could be had with injection. That red Y plater is an early one alright.

Tom Walkinshaw ran the Mazda touring cars in the 80's.. did well with the RX7. Henceforth every bit of bolt on tat that could be bolted on to a Mazda was TWR..

All those 626s and not a single pre-82 "Montrose" shape one.  If anyone knows of a scrappy in the UK with a Montrose in it kindly let me know. (I know about the one in the driveway in Kilburn).
