Worth buying if only to keep it from the NO LIFE OR LIVING brigade. GLWS BTW

Would be an ideal vehicle for towing car trailers, circumventing the occasional OMG SNO KAOS, and for use as a back-up vehicle if/when your usual mode of transport fails to proceed - if you can afford the fuel :)

That looks very nice indeed for the money. I would, but I really don't need a Disco.

That looks very nice for the money, ideal for Mr D Wobbler?

Ha! If Mr D Wobbler had any money. Good luck with the sale. Ideal time of year to be flogging.

I've passed it on to the friend of Mrs_Pillock's who was interested in a sub-grand Land Rover. As far as I can see, this fits the bill perfectly!

That looks lovely. Great colour combo and as yet unmolested. Those delicate ally flanks are so easily dented, looks super straight compaired to the majority. I misstook you for bigstraightsix, but thankfully you are rather more than 10 miles away from me so cant realistically come to view & we already have a land rover for the horse. Any info on the condition of the steel bits sills, floor body mounts etc ?

It's been too wet and horrid to climb under it since I have had it but I did stick the camera under. Remember it's only 10 weeks since it was MOTed.

I have included some underneath photos, I hope this helps.

As someone who loves nothing more than a ridiculously thirsty VEE engine, I can't believe I'd overlooked this for my bucket list (which has now been corrected). Mighty fine looking beast... tell me it struggles to get 15 MPG?

My old RRC with the same engine/box got 18mpg on petrol (14 on lpg)

Sounds about right. A friend has one in almost identical spec. Will do single figures on LPG when towing quite readily! The fuel injection made a big difference and you stand a chance of hitting 20mpg if you're really gentle. You'd never manage that on carbs. They really did struggle to top 15.

Plus points for the V8 are that they sound awesome and don't have many of the problems of the 300Tdi.

A mate towed his yacht to a world championchips in sweden last year with my old 3.9efi range rover classic which averaged 12MPG at 50-60 MPH average. With that wallet wilting thirst he paid more at the pumps than he did for the entire car!

I used to work with someone who had a 3.9 Rangie. He was actually jealous of the 15-18 mpg I could get in daily use with my 7.0 Cadillac! Didn't stop him having a 4.0 Disco though, nor subsequently a fleet of V8 Landies. Once bitten, it seems....

I've had about 10 Range Rovers, all V8.

I'd have another one tomorrow, no worries.

Additional information

To answer a couple of questions I have had, I have now had the local Land Rover specialist put my Discovery up on his ramp to inspect the underside, I am pleased to report that he declared it in very good condition, all original with just the smallest patch of corrosion on the ns rear body mount. He said it would benefit from a fresh coat of underseal but no repairs were necessary. The engine does not over heat at all sitting in traffic or travelling at motorway speeds and the heater works well.

I hope this helps.

That does look like a snip. Inner and outer sills look good! Whats the boot floor like? If it's in good nick this is indeed a snip.
