What happens if you have too many Lagunas

[He] was advised to sell his cars to pay the thousands of pounds accumulated in fines

Umm, 3 knackered Lagunas?

Posted

A total of over £3000 in fines and a court order telling him to flog his tat seems rather harsh, although it sounds like the lad did not make much (or any, in fact) effort to defend himself or argue his position.

Verdict: probably a mental health issue.

His neighbours have had several years of distress? How do they think he feels, he actually owns the Lagunas?

Posted

Maybe his wife said 'No More, and you can't sell them' so he's patiently waiting for them to rot into the ground?

Or the keycard's nackered and he can't do anything anyway

What a fuss over nothing. Anyone would think he was running a meth lab

wtf some people are arseholes, i had a complaint once for revving a "kitcar" the complaint was because i was running a brand new cam in on a freshly built engine at the time at 2.30-3pm in the afternoon on a weekday that id booked off work as leave so i could get the engine in, so i called the local authority and gave them a round of fucks explaining that its my hobby so the lazy jobless fucker who complained about me should shut the hell up because my taxes pay their rent, the kind gent on the other end of the phone told me not to worry anyway as its got nowt to do with the council anyway as noise disturbance is a police matter they just have to send a letter whenever any complaint is made, i put the phone down and invited a few friends round with noisy cars to piss the dole dossing wanker off and put my point accross i had no problems after that

i think thats harsh on the laguna owner

Hey what happened about that guy with the garden full of Trabants?

I seem to remember his local council ordered him to flog half of them and there was a piece about it in Practical Classics or something. Anyone know if any of them were saved?

And yeah, it just takes one fucking busybody retired neighbour with nothing better to do...

Thery all went to Deatons scrapyard in Stavely. I was there when they came in on 2 trucks. GRP bodies ripped off with a grab and the rest squashed.

Fucking Councils really are Nazis. Why not just leave the guy alone?

Really? What a bunch of shits! Didn't he get to keep a couple though?

Bah!

Apparently this story was featured on the Jeremy Vine show today, It sounds like he's surrounded by a load of Hyacinth Bucket's, looking on Street view he's at the end of a Cul-de-Sac and isn't hurting anyone.

If this happens to one of us I'd like to think we could whip up a veritable shitestorn of a blockade to terrorise the local community.

AS Blockade! I'd take a trip up there and park the ZX up for the day!

His neighbours have had several years of distress

Check out this distessing scene

At least he's turned his hobby over to adding the Audi to the fleet, recently

Is there actually some law against keeping old cars on your premises, surely what he keeps on his premises is his business?!

If so I expect that I may get the same letter as my tatty Maxi has been on my drive for over a year without moving and I have a couple of busy body neighbours!

Posted

I think they (neighbours, council) were more arsed about him noisily working on the cars. If I were him now I'd be making the front garden look like an explosion at a VW owners roof rack convention and chuck a couple of old washing machines in for good measure.

Apparantly his neighbours had offered to help clear the front, hopefully he told them to GTFO.

What a bunch of cunts. Rapists and pedos can walk the streets if they behave themselves but some bugger with a few Tribants is treated like a criminal and has his property sized and destroyed. :x

If someone wants to keep old cars and shite on their drive then that's their business but if my neighbour revved the cunt out of his car on a regular basis it would fuck me right off. Even more so now with Iain_Lite on the way.

Place looks a shithole aswell which gets folks back up if they spend at least a bit of time keeping their gaff tidy.

The daft ones are the Council though, wasting time and money on pointless fines.

:) This thread reminds me of a pic I have outside our old house a few years ago.

Not enjoying the sound of a knackered east-german 2 stroke being revved every morning? What's wrong with these people?!

Shame there weren't any buyers for the Trabbis.

Hertz: The FSO was parked by the petrol station on Long Street all day in Thirsk
