I'm thinking that Pete, Wat, me and anyone else close by could meet at Lymm services about 8am and convoy down to The Racecourse pub for about 9ish. Tickets can be given out then to any late arrivals etc, then we can get in and get sorted.

 

I'll PM my phone number to everyone in case they're late and want me to meet them at the gate, or whatever.

 

Still a couple of tickets, too, so if anyone knows anyone who might want to come, let me know.

Alternator woes have left the Whale beached for the last week, though, it should be back on the road on friday afternoon (assuming the correct alternator has been ordered/arrives), however I will be £160 lighter, and thats before I factor in £80 for juice.

 

I'd bring the Golf but its far from being interesting enough to mix it with our lot, and the heater matrix has just popped meaning mega steamy windows and water consumption the sort of which I wouldn't really want to risk on a 160mile jaunt in a car Im trying to sell.

 

So yeah, it looks like I won't be there, although, I may arrive unexpectedly.

Its at least 100mile out of your way, but over and above the distance/time thing, it'd be setting you up for 40miles of 50MPH average speed nastiness on the M62. Not something that I would wish on anybody.

 

It looks like Ive got a chap coming to view the Chrysler on Sunday anyway (with the possibility of swaping it for either his E23 728i or his E28 M535i)

 

Ofcourse I may go see him and his cars on Saturday afternoon which may free my Sunday right up.

Hi all - we have unfortunately had to CANCEL Uttoxeter Racecourse this Sunday, again due to the weather. It has rained constantly down there for 3 days and nights now, so the show area is flooded.
