If ever I buy a shack out here in Italia, and I might, then I will be sure to buy a right dented Fiat Panda to keep there.

You definately have to do that...it's the law in Italy (probably)

We had Pandas as "site cars" on the Ballylumford CCGT project. Boggo LHD versions. 2001 vintage I think. One can fit a lot of Italians power station engineers into a Panda when it's a wet day and the canteen is half a mile away....

Great fun to hoon around the plant's mini road system, especially with my mate Roberto in the passenger seat yelling "ANDY! LENTO, LENTO!".

Aaaah the fiat panda... my first car was a D reg 999cc Fire - was an awesome car, went round corners like no other, and if you pushed it hard enough down a steep enough hill you could get the speedo 'off the scale' (it only went up to 100).

doors that seemed to be made of tin foil, and electrics that just defied all logic come MOT time.

Sold it after 6 months to buy a mk2 escort...

K reg - White 750FIRE.

Fitted Contactless Dizzy [from the selecta], turned the air intake pipe back over the head... to draw from inside the engine space rather than 'cold feed' from the front (good advice from the dealer... stopped carb icing!!!).

Made a bit of tinplate 'deflector' to make the 'facevent air' go up the inside of the N/S window - stopped fogging!

Drove it like I stole it!..... in the wet it went straight over mini-rbts....Hmmm....Robbed a Y10 ARB & made clamps to fit...SORTED

MeggaLaugh... and NOT SLOW!!!!!
