Californicashite - Land of Fruits & Nuts

I went to have a look at this today - owner is asking for $3,000.

Advertised as having a recent paint job (very low grade IMHO) and an engine and transmission rebuild.

Needs to have all the trim replaced but is supposedly running fine.

Nice work, some tasty stuff there - but that white Comet you posted earlier is indeed megaübertasty.

Kin 'ell!

How the f**k did I miss this?

This is an 825SL, not sure what the 'SL' is about (Standard Luxury?) but an 825 V6 is pretty rare even over here in Blighty, this carries the 2.5L Rhonda lump which was only available for a couple of years before the engine was re-built and re-released as an 827. The engines themselves are visually and physically identical apart from a few components and a larger bore.

Great car, its spots like this that make me appreciate my Sterling more. Thanks for getting this!

Years ago, I worte to a bloke in America who was selling one identical to this, he sent me a load of pics, but me not knowing enough about computers manage to loose them when my computer was re-installed :(

The Rover/Sterling was found in the car park of the Bridgehead Cafe here:

I think the two Desert Eagles, one strapped to each of my thighs, tends to make them look the other way

Well look what turned up in the works car park!

My uncle brought one of these back from the USA to Edinburgh in the early part of the 1970's during the "fuel crisis" as an economy car

It seemed to be absolutely massive at the time to me but these days it's actually pretty dinky.
