SambaS Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 So who has one of these beasties then? I think I inadvertantly annoyed one chap on here on another thread when a certain yellow car was mentioned. The Tagora probably gets my top spot on the want list equal probably to a Saph Cosworth. Now there's a contrast of cars!
Guest Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 I don't know why they didn't just post the yellow one on here. Someone would have saved it.
Lacquer Peel Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Talbot Tagora by zenithfivenine, on Flickr Talbot Tagora, Hyundai Pony by zenithfivenine, on Flickr Some content. Sorry.
eddyramrod Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 Talbot Tagora, Hyundai Pony by zenithfivenine, on Flickr That's got to be Cyprus! Doesn't look like anywhere I've been yet though... Nicosia way maybe?
eddyramrod Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 I suspected as much. He was here a while back but we didn't get to meet up as he was over on the east side and I'm in the (wild) west.
Talbotman Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 If you look closely at the car under the pile - its a Solara not a Tagora ...though you,d be hard pressed to tell squashed under that lot!!

catsinthewelder Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Eddy, just nip accross and snip all the rust freeness out of that scrap Austin 1100 and bring it back to blighty
TagoraSX Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I'm having that bad boy looked at in the morning.
Morgan84 Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I remember as a young lad going to a local scrapyard and seeing a lime green metallic Tagora, and taking a instant liking to the car - something about it stood out;maybe the colour or the front styling, but I really did like it.Thats probably the only one I've ever seen
Albert Ross Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I once went to a Jobs fair in Westminster, and met up with a chap I knew from college. I was ready to leave early to get my train home to Slough, but he offered me a lift in his Dad's Silver Tagora..... what a gent! A thoroughly immemorable drive home. All I need to do now is get a go in a Trevi.
25v6turbo Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 What a car to bring to the Autoshite meet with a boot full of beer...Simply fantastic,i,am sure this would get a LOT of attention at the meet.Whats worrying is that its not far from me,i love it and the wife said she would buy it....
SambaS Posted April 28, 2012 Author Posted April 28, 2012 DO IT MY GOD. Albert Ross Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Google - define:immemorable This was about 1983/4. I have slept since then. Therefore some slightly more important things have happened, and a ride in a Talbot has slipped out of my head. I remember it happening, just not the details. I was 18 back then. I don't have a huge memory, remember, computers only had 1K back then. My brain is similar. To quote Homer Simpson. Every time I learn new stuff, old stuff falls out.
SambaS Posted April 28, 2012 Author Posted April 28, 2012 Yeah I do forget it was just a car back then. Plenty of Vectras and stuff I've forgot instantly Google - define:immemorable This was about 1983/4. I have slept since then. eddyramrod Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Eddy, just nip accross and snip all the rust freeness out of that scrap Austin 1100 and bring it back to blighty Certainly, that'll take me about 3 minutes with hand snips, assuming I can find the actual yard!
155V6 Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Found it on Ovalchat, they've got a thread about the Tagora on eBay & someone posted the pic saying there's 2 left then, but no other info
TagoraSX Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 The pic first appeared here.http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/sho ... hp?t=62478 I seem to remember the place was robbed and some of the cars disappeared shortly after the pics were taken, Coincidence?
Volksy Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 The 28DL croud are well known for taking more than pictures.
Skizzer Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Found it on Ovalchat, they've got a thread about the Tagora on eBay Whoa, hold on there - is this going to get bought by a banger racer and sent to its death then? I'm having that bad boy looked at in the morning. What's the word on this TSX? Are you going to rescue it? I'm not particularly after one of these but as a last resort I'll buy and store it rather than watch some meathead smash it up (and no I don't want to get into AS's bimonthly slanging match about the merits of banger racing)
trigger Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 I can't imagine a Tagora being all that tough out on the oval, especially a rotten one.
