Shite in Miniature II

I always wanted one of those Bonna Ambulances!

JM that 2cv will on my list. I bought a 1:24 scale BMW by NEX/Welly earlier this year and apart from slightly grainy, hard plastic used for the interior I could not fault it against something much more expensive. The build quality is really coming along and it was only a tenner.

You schweinhund, Junkman; now I'm seriously jealous!

'She caught the katy, left me a mule to riiiiiide'. Proper classic film that, and a lovely model of a 74 Dodge Monaco

Has anyone here used an ebay seller called models4u_pl?  He's got a couple of listings up that I'm watching, but I've never dealt with a dealer from Eastern Europe before.  His feedback is good, at least.

I've used a few different sellers from the Eastern Bloc area, and never had any issues, they sometimes take a couple of weeks to arrive, but in one case, 4 days later the model arrived, was well impressed tbh

Does anyone have any Edocar toys models?

Take a stab at some of the manufacturers they didn't use castings or wheels from. I got a couple on a trip to Holland for my birthday in 1988, when we were living in Germany at the time. I certainly had the Granada and a Trabant, as seen below but in matt frog green, which I feel was probably a very accurate shade.

All except #16, #17, and #22 (two Yat Mings and a Welly, respectively) were badge-engineered Maisto castings.

Maisto still sells the Trabant but they're difficult to come across - most I've found in one place were the souvenir shops in Berlin, near Checkpoint Charlie. Pricey little buggers as well.

Later Edocars were rebadged Realtoy, Golden Wheel and Loyal Bright models.

Hey shite brothers,

As its new year I've spent a couple of hours tidying up the unit and sorting some of our damaged stuff. Result is pile of slightly damaged 1:43s which have all have minor issues and aren't worth us retailing. If I work out how many would fit in a box and bang some pictures up later, any interest in them? Mainly '60's /70's /80's european partwork type stuff.  Nothing major - mainly bent wheel / missing mirrors / cracked chassis that type of thing but could most;y be fixed if you are so inclined...

I bought a load of chod from Lobby last time he did a broken 1/43 clear out, there were several blue Unos, 3 of which ended up in France, I re wheeled a couple of em and kept em, some of em became donors for others, the broken off Uno mirrors came in handy repairing an Alfa Romeo, and Minichamps Mondongo estate.

I have an undamaged Sportwagen with a buggered blister if anyone wants it

Righto then.  Damage is relatively minor on most. mainly missing mirrors, bent axles or body come off chassis and requires fixing. Coupe of the Ritmos aren't much use for much but are included as I don't like throwing stuff away and might have a possible use I suppose...

List is something like this -

Altaya (partwork) 1:43s -  Citroen CX, Opel Manta GT/E, Fiat Ritmo, Citroen BX Policia, Talbot Horizon Policia, Fiat Ritmo (blue), Fiat Croma, R5 TS (Carlos Sainz), Peugeot 106, Citroen Saxo. Renault Estafette

Route Bleue - Citroen ID19 - body off chassis but should glue ok, Austin Cambridge (same again)

Minichamps - Opel Corsa SR - Come off base but looks ok otherwise, might have had mirrors glued back on though but looks ok.

Norev (partwork) Lancia Beta, Alfa GTV, Fiat 1100?

Starline - Mystery. Box says Abarth 750 Coupe so probably that. Complete but in component form as far as I recall.

How does £25 incl UK post sound.

Initially I thought about making it into a Cowley but that seems a shame.   Centy Toys, 1:32.

A post profile is crap but otherwise it aint bad!    Opening doors too (although I had to cut the side-stripe in an official opening ceremony)

Their website is funny - this Amby is listed as "Indian Iconic Model" and there is a Polo too simply listed as "Car" which I think is stretching things a bit far....Also some sub-continental autoshite like Swift  Dezir, Innova and Fortuner along with a blatant Hot Wheels  logo ripoff.

Brilliant....

1/32 Ambassador? Hmm, get two and put them on Scalextric chassis, scatter a few Britains cows across the track and have a New Delhi taxi race?
