I've only just got round to fitting batteries in the Corgi Maestro I got off @Amishtata while back. Even though I had one as a child I did forget how to operate the lights as I was looking for an on/off switch but I quickly figured out you simply press down on the front or rear axle. Anyway I thought it would be best to check the headlight alignment 😆 *Pics taken after alignment done*

Ahh...  saw that the other day and did wonder.

Well they'd better get selling, as the film itself will be two years late!

Top Gun: Maverick is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States on July 2, 2021, by Paramount Pictures. It was originally scheduled for release on July 12, 2019 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and scheduling conflicts

BTW, RIP Goose

This thread has inspired me. So I went in the parents loft today and got out what remains of my childhood toy cars. A full rubble sack has yielded some good memories.

I wrecked loads, with permanent marker, what do you all use to clean it off? I have tried baby wipes and Flash floor wipes.

Even the Graphic Traffic ink won’t shift lol.

I would like to clean some up and display them, so any advice is welcome!

Surgical spirit or meths. Hard to get it out of corners and lines though.

Guessing you have 70s/80s cars if you have Graffic Traffics

Posted

Yeah, some 70s. Mostly 80s for me. I did have older stuff, but my parents had to give a lot away, when we emigrated in 1988.

I’ll try the meths clean up method. Cheers.

Surprisingly, the pens still work (dunno why I wrote ‘Graphic!’).

Is that a reissue of the Swept Wing Jet from the 80’s in there?

Cotton buds and nail polish remover is GR9 for taking off tampo printing, might work for permanent marker?

The casting was retooled for the 2020 Top Gun Maverick 5-Packs. The base is now plastic and the wheel configuration has been altered.

I've still got a fully-functioning Graffic Traffic pen! I wonder if any child managed to 'colour in' one of those cars and not make it look absolutely shit?

Nice lol. I don’t remember having the Astra police car in that set. My mate does, though.

I have a normal one.

I spent ages, ‘sorting’ these last night.

It’s a weird feeling, looking back at all of these.

Must be why I spent a while, examining them.

I still have loads of Superkings cars and truck and trailer sets. They were my favourites.

I wonder if this is like the 911 I have. Takes two little old style car fob batteries and has a button on the steering wheel?

Mine burst* into life when I tipped the bag out, yesterday.
I’d rather have the Maestro, mind!

I've got a Volvo 740 from a Graffic Traffic set, doesn't look like it's ever been painted

There's a VW T25 Ambulance too,but I've never seen a real one.

Nice. I’d be tempted to remove the wheels etc and make it look like an unused shell.

I found a T25 ambulance in my lot, totally coloured in black. Maybe that was a GT.

Ha!  Terminator II livery!

The model is really of a Ford CL-Series, which I have a thing about

That Hot Wheels Rig Wrecker dates from the early eighties.  They resurrected the casting for Semi Fast II, which I might dig out to bore you some more

A word of warning.

Don't fall asleep while looking at diecast on eBay,you might wake up to find out that you've managed to hit the buy now & pay for something you didn't really want 🙄.It wasn't even the item I was looking at,but one of their other items.

Anyone want to buy a 1/43 scale Pegaso fuel tanker?😂

No I have six of those being delivered Friday.  It's a disease, that eBay trigger-fingeritis.
