Found this in the charity shop today for 30p. It looked like someone had tipped out my toy car box from the 80’s. Sadly I’ve no space so this is the only one I took home.

It's late, so while my dinner cooks this was today's top find at the boot sale. I'll get some better pictures of it and the rest of the haul (spoiler :no 1:36 Corgi content) in the morning but I'm really pleased to have found a presentable example.

Yesterday I was in the town centre so I slipped into The Entertainer.  3for2 on Hot Wheels...

Blue Volvo, woohoo!  Hudson looks very nice, and the GMC Syclone was just the bonus model, so a quid plus postage if anyone wants it.

Didn't know of the existence of those. Bugger, I'd told myself that I don't need to add anything else to the watch list!

And while it's a lovely sunny morning and work is a good couple of hours away, a look through yesterday's impulse purchases. Initially I was disappointed, having got about halfway round and really not found anything worth a closer glance the temptation was strong to sack it off and go back to the car, especially given that time was getting short. Glad I persevered though, as everything I got was in the last two rows. The little I know about Huskys has been gleaned from this site, it isn't my scale of choice but I'm really starting to warm to them. First up, another Mark X with all four bumper corners intact and the most complete /least damaged of the Ford F350s which seem to be quite common. The raising arm is quite a nice feature, pity the bottom of the hook is gone but this was far and away the most intact one I saw. 15960962740765334477639999803142.thumb.jpg.28fa7b14c72bef7ecd181cbb1409d1f7.jpg

About two stalls along I had one of those "wow, never seen one of those" moments. Twice, in fact. And really, if you have a few of something you can always justify a transporter for display purposes, right?

That looks decent. I have one with the stickers but it's a bit worn

A better one with less stickers (and its box)

I should have sailed from Newhaven last Friday evening :-(

Now got most of a fortnight at home, so lots of time to progress the kits.....

Fairlady polished, now just detail painting and foil brightwork to apply.

Maserati has reached the point where the bodywork is all done and the engine has been glued into place in the chassis. The two halves have been fitted together this morning for the last time, just some final bits and bobs to do.

Sunny Truck called with a delivery of wheels and tyres for the latest project, hopefully a quick and simple one I can get through during my time off work.

It'll probably end up on these Watanabe/Minilites or the Work Equips, but I have others to choose from. Bodyshell is going to be finished in primer with some odd-coloured panels, as if they've been salvaged from other cars and it's a rolling restoration WIP. It's a very basic kit, but will hopefully look the part. I have better Zs by Hasegawa and Fujimi when I want to do something 'proper'.

This isn't especially rare or interesting but as a Volvo licker in actual life this was always going to happen once a nice enough example came along. The only Dinky from this period I've any interest in, it was worth waiting for.

Burago Testarossa. Wouldn't have picked this up if I hadn't snatched the matching Tipo last week. Possibly of interest to the Doctor? Despite the cracked screen it fell into the surprisingly sparse "too nice to leave behind for a quid" category.

Looks to be in slightly better condition than mine, which I've had for 40 years or so:

It's survived going through my younger days and then my son's toybox pretty well, and it now sits happily on the shelf with the Corgi 1:36-ish collection.

Not a bad effort, they even captured the annoying use of the saloon rear doors.

That one needs to be lower and have wider, older-style wheels! I must admit if I could do weathering and rust it'd open up some interesting options. My backstory for this one is that the main bodyshell has been repaired and the owner has chucked some secondhand panels onto it and got it running and driveable before it goes into the paintshop to be finished off.

This was on the same table as the Charger and is rather a nice little thing the more I look at it. Picked up out of curiosity at first admittedly, it's rather grown on me. Nice condition too really, all things considered. Too nice to leave behind for six quid anyway.

Not a Ferrari man but that looks in good nick. Knowing Dinky prices I bet that would raise a few quid on eBay

I keep toying with the idea of buying the police version, but do I really need it?

A lovely selection you've picked up there. Will have to see if I can get to a local sale at some point.

I don't know if the proper toy fairs have started up again. Many of the people who go to them seem to be a bit 'vulnerable' at the best of times.....

I have this one too but haven't found tyres for it yet as it's missing the front 2.

It's a nice model this.
