There are no markings on this little Scarab, could somebody please confirm if it is a Lesney? Excuse the bad picture.

Yes, its No.10, seem to recall it had some marking in the roof of the Scarab but not sure without looking!

Love the restorations complemented by tje repro boxes.

Also there can never be enough plastic Norevness. I had the later Ami Break version, MIB, stupidly sold it for a song about 5 years ago.

Not sure why, other than I could but I've just paid for this:

Bought off Trademe and came with free delivery. Didn't know there were any Atlas Dinky's over here and the seller has 3 more at fair prices, including a 12 Gordini, which looks OK at about a tenner, delivered.

He also has a few Bulgarian Matchboxes, which I'll admit I wasn't aware of. I quite like this one, for the wheel incongruity:

And this one, for its bizarre bronze paint job:

EDIT: After finding the links and uploading them, I couldn't resist them so decided to buy these two, too. If my calculations are right, I should have all 3 delivered for just over £19, which probably isn't too bad by UK standards but is a minor miracle by the small NZ market standards. I'll be sure to labour this point vigorously to my wife when they arrive.....

I have the Atlas 12, its not the best casting they did but the overall spirit of the original is captured, helped by the correct details.

That Berliet is lovely, I would love one in my collection, I will investigate.

I have a Bulgarian Matchbox MK4 Cortina with non-opening front doors and beige paint job.

Stradairs are cool....I always fancied one of the Solido ones.

Update: Having spotted a potential rift betwixt myself and my wife (see aforementioned purchases), I decided the best thing to do was to throw more funds into the pot, to quell any potential disagreement. In short, I've ordered her some shoes she wanted.

And now to go and attempt to fix her car....

I always enquire how Mrs Rocker's shoe stable is before making any major die-cast purchase....

That first set of photos of the factory, it looks like that bloke is Kenny Everett, no wonder they all ended up bent LOL

I daresay "that bloke" gave us a lot more joy and happiness.

Also note the bearded beatnik in command of the granulate. Presumably he is the man who gave us those wonderful colours.

I got all the way through the photos before it clicked where the Norev name came from, fantastic photos - I have never come across any reference to the Norev factory before.  Seeing them all boxed in those flimsy clear packs really takes me back to my Dutch holidays and French school trips of the 60s and 70s.   Want. More.  Plastic.

Actually he reminded me more of Chas McDevitt but that's because I am old.

Agreed. The see through plastic packs made the contents more immediately attractive than the typical cardboard boxes of Solido, Dinky, Corgi etc.  I had not heard of Norev until Dad took us on our first continental family holiday in 1963 or 4.  Vauxhall Victor FB estate (white with a dark green roof) loaded with camping gear, Dad, Mum, me, my brother and an aunty - 3 days to get to Saint Aygulf via the old Brenner Pass. Norevs were in abundance in a toyshop next to the camp site.  I bought several but only the R4 van and 2cv have survived. My brother still has a Simca ambulance (estate car type, complete with stretcher), a 2cv van, Renault Estafette and possibly a few others. He has recently moved from Bucks to Penzance, so there's no chance that I'll be seeing them again soon, if at all.

You know, that bearded beatnik in the Norev factory photos?

The one responsible for the weird and wonderful colours?

Well, when they switched from one colour to the next, a few swirly examples were popped out.

Those usually didn't make it to the shelves, but occasionally, some did get assembled and leaked out.

Finding one of those is kind of the pinnacle of Norev collectorship and elevates you into the upper echelons of Norevists.

Well, I can now proudly announce that I'm one of them.

Not sure which plastickry I covet most - a swirly Norev or those Clifford?  Commers.....Wonderful!

I take it the swirly multi-coloured Norev interiors were intentionally so?

I don't want to casrte aspersions on the accuracy of Norevs, but at first I thought,' Oh look a Riley Pathfinder coupe'

Anyone make their own waterslide transfers ?

I know there's waterslide inkjet paper available but I'm a complete newbie when it comes to graphic design software.

Anyone fancy doing the graphics similar to those on the door ? I can supply the missing letters from the image. (paypal beer tokens provided)

I fancy making one of these:

into this:post-18019-0-34792200-1525018503_thumb.jpg

A friend of mine owned it years ago and offered it to me for 300 euros. Like the twat I am I declined his offer due to the pitiful excuse of lack of space. Shortly after I came into some space he'd flogged it to some other lucky sod.

It'd be nice to recreate what I've missed :(

Another expensive visit to a Tabac, I really must give up the fags.

1/24 scale 1970 Dyane:

There was also a rather nice 1/24 Saab 96 that I resisted.

I resisted this Sherpa camper too:
