Mothercare did a few commissions of their branded versions of Corgi/Matchbox, I had the Superkings Landrover Hi-cap Vets Van as a kid. Quite hard to find!

I remember seeing the green K-144 Land Rover in the Early Learning Centre too - looked a bit better than the police/ airport/ road maintenance version from the Superkings mainline range, even if it still had the clunky roof sign.

I had a vague suspicion the yellow version of the Superkings K-164 Range Rover (toy fair find by @bunglebusthe other day) was also an Early Learning Centre version - and it seems it was, from the same farm toys range.

This Matchbox RR is fairly crap all things considered, but I liked the attempt at recreating the three spokes...

Like I say I had the ELC one that was still boxed, sold it for a pittance in about 2009 on eBay along with a load of stuff I should have really kept like my Corgi council garages.

That is a smart X19! Is it a regular issue or a mothercare one?

I've never seen a 1/36 Corgi X1/9 with anything other than a black bumper/ interior/ engine hatch - and a towbar.

I think you may have a rarity on your hands, good sir!

Yup, either pre-production or some sort of colour trial for a later incarnation.

I think the X1/9 version produced exclusively for M&S was done in silver, but there were likely a few different colours prepared as samples for Corgi to take along to their client meetings.

I understand M&S wanted their versions from the Corgi range to be different from all the mainline models, so possibly different coloured plastic components were floated to make that happen.

Either way, well bought!

@Vincent Velocette that Sunbesm Lotus is lovely! Is it a L&L models shell on a TT02?

Yeah! L&L.👌

How do these things escape into the public domain?

Probably in the pocket of an employee!

It would have been hard not to break the monotony and make a lunchtime special. Imagine though back in 1982 when they folded all the old castings, preproductions and prototypes that would have ended up in a skip.

Roverageous has a 1/18 XM in a dealer box for sale on here, £30 plus post is very reasonable in my opinion.

There’s hundreds* well quite a few, I’ve never seen one, not even a battered one! Job lots of things do turn up though, like all those Schabak Scorpio’s a few year back.

I’m hovering over the BIN button now 😁

Talk to me about Mini GT Kaido house people.

Want some cool cars and some garage type stuff to put in a diorama for my lad.

I'm feeling the 510 wagons and something like the lifts greenlight sell.

Is there anything else like Kaido House I should be looking at? Love standard Hotwheels but want some more modified/custom looking stuff. I do have a Datsun Hyper Hauler as well but I don't want to open it lol.

Anyone got any cool cars, lifts equipment for sale? Doesn't have to be mint condition, anything cool really.

Inno 64 are good too, especially for JDM stuff. BM creations' stuff is good too, their Toyota Starlets are fantastic.

In a similar vein to Datsuncog this Unimog has been sitting on my desk at work for nearly five years now.

It’s one of those part work models by Universal Hobbies but is superbly detailed and is in the ever appealing green with red wheels combo. Just out of shot (behind the rubber dinosaurs) is my grey Fergie but I don’t like that as much since the PAT testing bloke broke the steering wheel craning over my desk to reach the plugs.

Photos of the Fergie required!

Purchased a Corgi 1/36 Sierra today, been after the yellow one for a while, when they crop up they seem to go for a few quid. The one I’ve bought is less than pristine but it’ll do.

Stopped off at Taunton Sainsbury's just off the M5 this afternoon. There happens to be a B&M next door and luckily both had a good amount of HWs.

4 from B&M

4 from Sainsbury's and the Kadett yesterday in Tesco.

Anything Matchbox new in Tesco?

Nothing at all. Probably 8 or 9 weeks since the Matchbox hangers were replenished

I don’t know if the issue is Mattel being deliberately useless or Tesco.

Genuine highlight of the week.

Properly wears my F5 key out.

Yup, had to be in the building for a work meeting today, so it made sense to get an earlier train and see what was what at St George's this week...

The good news: the 50p Tat Box is back!!

The bad news: it's now the £1 Tat Box.

I guess that's inflation for you, kids.

Still, some treasures to be found nonetheless - Lesney, Corgi, Majorette and more - oh boy!!

1400533960_IMG_20221014_0818452.thumb.jpg.b515dfbfbdcf52de4dc34e2a8f809ceb.jpg

Squished Lesney Pontiac GTO, along with a less squished example (but still missing both A-pillars).

1785648046_IMG_20221014_0829122.thumb.jpg.85166d1b77d1cf6adbef03928ed50ad5.jpg

Later Superfast BMC 1800 Farina also in a bad way.

420127356_IMG_20221014_0819152.thumb.jpg.a32b4969e6b3f567fa007ecb10590f71.jpg

Rolamatics Ford Pickup and Tanzara in orange were in ok nick, also the Blaze Buster seen upside down on the far left.

Majorette Dodge fire tender a bit bashed, but still with ladders in place.

Yellow Lamborghini Marzal was not so great, with the windscreen punched through and wonky wheels.

2088490884_IMG_20221014_0819302.thumb.jpg.277c9365be7daf5fda4de8b7b65f73ff.jpg

More Rolamatics: Police Patrol Rangie and Badger weren't mint, but were certainly quite nice all the same.

577815650_IMG_20221014_0822232.thumb.jpg.7572ea88d7abb572edaadef0a009993e.jpg

Lightly wrecked Ford Wreckers in both Regular Wheels and Superfast varieties - though the older example was in a bit of a state and missing an axle.

1231074762_IMG_20221014_0822052.thumb.jpg.466f26aab4f73ff13c7a24b1a2ddf1be.jpg

Superfast Stretcha Fetcha had torn stickers and the usual light wear to the glazing unit edges, but no cracks and the tailgate was still in place.

Corgi racer was in reasonable condition too.

673790586_IMG_20221014_0824152.thumb.jpg.a172a2591faff7a758eafd4a5b1cd765.jpg

Staying with Corgi in general, and slightly strange ambulances in particular, the Juniors Healer Wheeler was decent enough, though the Whizzwheels Fire Bug was missing its windscreen and ladders.

A similar plain red GP Buggy without windscreen but with its roll bar was also in there, though I'm not sure I snapped it.

Homefire Zakspeed Capri is a pretty common one, from the mid-80s BP promotional range.

Corgi Juniors 'Captain America' Porsche 912 was still quite shiny, if a little faded around the stickers.

1298951365_IMG_20221014_0830492.thumb.jpg.3ed1283a6c29faa102d7bfc1f9062f3c.jpg

Corgi Eagle Jeep was kept company by this oddly proportioned Marx version.

2142250543_IMG_20221014_0830562.thumb.jpg.877501bccdf17215a068c6c24e90b683.jpg

I was tempted by its strangeness... But I refrained.

Pinky-peuce Woosh 'N' Push was a colour I haven't seen before; they seem to be generally yellow.

More to follow, once I've cropped the pic files...
