I had that as a boy.  No idea where it is now but it was in good condition

Boot sale was fairly small today, picked up a couple of modern Matchbox, including this Caddy - I remember eyeing it up in a 10 pack a couple of years ago and deciding I couldn't justify it

A couple of others

And a Siku Beetle

Guy was trying to give me those Matchbox for free for some reason.

Got these out of a 10p box

Read the ‘First forty years of Matchbox’ this week. Would really recommend it, it’s similar to the Great Book of Corgi, is consider myself quite knowledgeable but found shit loads of from this book. It’s been out of print 30 years but you can pick up copies for £15-20

My pleasure! I hung on every word, loads of really interesting tit bits from the founders and those in the R&D dept at Enfield.

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who saw the similarities!😆

Matchbox one seems to work, most of the time. But the Five winder doesn’t - pull back n go motor works but no stunts😐

Before I knew of the existence of this thread, I had a pair of launchers for these which I sold for next to nothing on the 'bay. They were immaculate too.

I had no idea they even existed! I’ve never seen them before, can’t remember seeing them as a kid or anything.

Just given some of the ‘keepers’ a wash and spruce up.

Corgi & Husky.

Capri is brilliant! I’ve already got the silver ‘Professionals’ version so this yellow one is nice to go with it.
Transit milk float I’ve never had before.
P6 is a colour I’ve not got, but one I really wanted.
Roadline Leyland is a livery I’ve not got.
Husky little’uns are just in great condition and all complete too. The Jag is particularly nice and I’ve already got a few of the later Corgi branded ones.

Hot Wheels.

image.thumb.jpg.7203e37e25fda562c1abd233c5ebf234.jpg

All seem really good condition. The Omni’s are fantastic little Models. I thought I already had a silver one but it’s the gold/yellow I’ve already got, so these two are nice to have too.
Pretty sure all these are late 70’s - early 80’s ones.

The gold wheel style was new for 1980

The others are wearing Blackwalls, new for 1977

The 442 is absolutely mint too. Barely a mark or blemish on it. Even the wheel treads are still shiny so I doubt it’s even been played with.

Those Hot Wheels ^ are nice, especially the Omnis. I have these two

The Rampage pickup has been modeled a couple of times by Mattel, recently (although based on a 1984 version)

All are either models I’m missing or colour/variants/wheel types Im missing.
Jag XK at the front is quite modern compared to the others but so nice I decided to keep that one.

I didn’t know about the more modern release pickup! Might have to get myself one!

That Red big wheel version I had as a kid. Another one that’s missing in action now. No idea where it went.

And a few Lesney’s.

Austin radio truck has had the back painted for some reason but it’s still nice!

That Holden pickup complete with bikes is a good find.

That odd Hot Wheels is the Gulch Stepper - from the annoying era where Hot Wheels didn't put names on the base of the casting!

Yeah I liked that Holden pickup. How it’s managed to keeps the two bikes I’ve got no idea as they slip out of the little grooves very easily. There’s another version of the truck too in flat red rather than maroon. I’ve got one of those but without the bikes.

The green Porsche is in fantastic condition too, hardly got a mark on it. Which is weird considering where they all came from!
