A Lancia pervert. You'll fit in just fine. Welcome.

Addictive things, Lancias. I had to wean myself off them a few years ago, you appear to be the Keith Richards of the Gamma faith. Respect.

Excellent -welcome on board form a fellla lanciasti.

I've a few old HPE's & a tatty 1600 saloon - so you're very welcome here..

Nice one! I droooooled over that Gamma sedan at the NEC for ages.

To me they are at the very top of the autoshite league of wantage!

Didn't a very low mileage one appear on ebay a while back? A blue one? Do you know what happened to that?

Superb collection you have there.

That Delta looks very nice.I think they look alot better without the Martini stripes.

What a fantastic thread, well done! I reckon most of your Lancias must have appeared in the classic press at some stage, have seen your Series I saloon a lot in pictures.

My second car was a W reg Beta 2.0 saloon in navy blue. It was only seven years old and I remember how cheap it was, I don't think they could give them away in the mid eighties. Lasting impression of it is how refined and 'up-market' it felt, how heavy the steering was, how juicy it was but overall how special I felt driving the thing. Only had it for six months, I think it always felt just a bit too expensive for me so sold it and bought a Fiat 128 3p, which I loved to pieces.

Guys

Many thanks for the great comments. Really appreciated.

To answer a few questions:

Yes - I saw the 7k mile met blue Gamma that was advertised a few months bakc. Seriously thought about getting it, but decided 2 Gamma Berlinas was enough! I has been sold to an enthusiast, who has joined the Gamma Consortium, so we shouldd see it out on the classic car scene this year.

My Beta S1 saloon was indeed the one featured in the "rust in peace" section of Practical Classics recently. I'm not quite sure where they got all their quotes from, but the sentiment was there!!!! Along with some of my mates in Betaboyz and the Lancia Motor Club, we have spent a lot of time over the last couple of years increasing the profile of Lancia (especially Beta and Gamma). And I think we are getting somewhere! Values are on the up and the public reaction more and more favourable

I'll get a separate post going with the stories behind the 78 mile Gamma and the S1 Gamma Berlina - and the trials and tribulations of attempting to awake that from its 25 year sleep!! The ungrateful old barge that it is!

And tomorrow is collection day of the Bo11ox Croma ........ finger crossed for an uneventful journey from Crewe to Wiltshire!

Fantastic collection, why can't you buy a car with a luminous green interior now for goodness sake?

I do hope the old guy who had the Gold Beta knows it's being cared for.

You keep those pics coming! FFS, I love American cars and hate FWD, and even I'm enjoying your fleet! Respect where it's due, and it's definitely due to you.

Welcome to the site. Thats a fantastic looking collection you have there, I'd love to get my cars in at least half as good condition as yours, sadly I lack crucial things like time, space, money and talent.

Loved the story of the Beta 2000ES garage find, well done on finding and restoring it. I love hearing about stories of cars being discovered/saved. Its something I'd love to do one day.

I LOVE Lancias, I'd dearly love a Beta Berlina someday. Your fleet is mind-bogglingly awesome. Welcome on board, you're a star shiter!!!

Congrats on the current Classic Car Weekly article on Beta Berlinas, Andy!

Shame about the dashboard photo confusion, eh. But excellent to get a full page on just the Berlina at last

Hi Jason

Yes - they did manage to get quite a bit wrong in the CCW article .... but nice that we got coverage. It was completely out of the blue. If they had contacted me to proof read the article before it went to print, then it just might have been a tad more accurate!
