Auto Excretia!

Posted

What a day! Had to sneak off fairly handy as needed at home but still managed about 7 and a bit hours. Absolutely blinding day out, I think we had 25 (cars) there today and it was just a laugh from start to finish. Ace company, ace cars and one of our number (Mark?) won a prize for his Farina estate. Biggest LOL of the day was probably when the compere asked one of the gang what club we were from and when he didn't get an answer someone pointed to an Autoshite sticker and the bloke said 'I can't read that out, we'll just say it's Auto Excretia' Didn't think I had many pictures but just downloading them and there's 203!

Just want to say a massive thankyou to everyone who came along, it really was the best one yet and hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves. Much kudos to SportyShite who broke down on the way, got towed home by the AA then got his car fixed and made it to the show!

Pictures (not all of them of course) to follow...

Was a good day, hampered by weird weather (no rain but a bit cold), wind and the compere literally screaming into his microphone at some points. Nice meeting everyone, I changed a setting on my camera and photos came out oversaturated!

James had the Farina estate... he won a prize?? Just seeing it in the concours bit had me chuckling like a tit.

A most splendid day out. Thanks to all that made it so, and to Billy for managing to blag us all in as a club again.

I didn't take any pictures at all, but it was worth it.

Great day out, lots of fun and good to meet some more shiters.

Thanks for organising this Billy, and I'd definitely be up for another one later on the year (if we're allowed in).

Posted

First, BIG thanks to Billy for sorting us out yet again, cheers mate

What a day, we had a 'Weapons Grade Stand of Shite'

Personal faves were the FSO boys, the Argenta and the Datsun Violet (not withstanding my Datto of course)

Did we piss on the spit and polish boys or what

P.S. Am I the only one with sunburn?????

Yeh, thanks again for organising this shitefest Billy...you da man!

Always good to catch up with faces old and new and a great turn out on the stand..

My neck and face are red too but I think it is more wind burn than sun burn as I had suncream on!

Great day out and good to meet you all, thanks for organising Billy.

As for sun burn my heads like a f*cking beacon!

Cracking day - lots of laughs! Was good to meet everyone, thanks for organising =)

Caught the sun on my stupid pasty cheeks too but not that bad thankfully!

Most amusing quote from the compere had to be

'you got stung by a wasp did you?'

'yes I did'

'Did it hurt?'

Did anyone catch the name of the red mk2 celica owner chap?

Well, there was me (Ian) in the Sunchaser which is based on a Gen 2 Celica

And there was Darren in his Gen 3 Celica (last of the RWD Celicas)

And also there was Brian in his Gen 4 Celica GT4 (4WD Turbo), he's had this from new !

Hey Station, apologies as I seemed to have managed to miss out catching up with you there. Also didn't talk to some nearly as much as I should sorry, I think just got a bit excited at the sight of the FSOs and the Mk2 Cav

I think it was Darren's Toyota by the way (from ifc's pictures) and this forum was mentioned to him, and a couple of others who asked. Darren (assuming right bloke) had said he'd looked in on AS a few times and liked what he saw so hopefully he'll sign up.

It would be Darren then as he was saying later he'd been impressed by the HBF Club :D .

I told him I was signed up on here and how great it was !!!!

Cracking pics! Thank you, those who posted. I can see this is one not to be missed next year.

Monsieur Bolleaux papped the hell out of the "Predator" Escort.

That other thing, yeah, I saw it. I was tempted to tell him to move it to our stand.

Hey great day, Thanks to Billy for sorting us out with a top notch value day out.

Great to see old friendly faces, friends, and briefly meet a few new good guys.

I had a good browse round at the good, the bad, and the ugly and even got so see the castle for once, and the family that live in it!

Will post pics soon..

My faves were the Grey Cresta, and the TR8 rally jobber. Want!

Great HBF Club stand, ace to see FSOs, Ladas, and proper retired commercial vehicles, I miss my fiesta van!

Of course the DS was lovely as was Shauns yellow Datsun

Oh and Shaun ya not alone, I got some Chumly flavour 'Pod face' too. bit more Vitamin Sun, than I was planning for my troubled complexion.

HBF? Have I missed something?

Our 'area' is called HBF after my RR username. The compere wanted to know why we were called that but we couldn't be arsed telling him.
