Due to the impending sale of my Micra, and the ever impending baby Pandamonium, I am going to need a new car.

I need it to be a 5 seater of average size, with rear seatbelts.

I need MOT and tax for around 5 months - will accept less if decent.

That is all. Anyone have anything?

Or seen anything interesting?

Cheers, Alan

Whereabouts are you? I might be able to make some ridiculous suggestions from my ebay watch list.

Posted

Ah, forgot that bit - must be within half an hour of my place - Hadleigh, Essex.

My missus is ready to drop the baby and I don't think it'd go down well if I was miles away on some tat-buying mission while she was giving birth!!!

It wouldn't be Autoshite if someone didn't make a totally hopeless suggestion.

How about a BMW convertible?

LMAO. One with Jeremy Kyle style M3 wing mirrors by any chance?

Lol!

How about an 2009 F1 racing car. $1,500,000. Located in Dubai. Needs a bit of work.

I'd offer my Skoda but I'm too far away.

1972 Ford Granada? In Cyprus?

Get someone to collect Pandaloopys Saab for you! Save us all the grief of seeing it on RR forever!

have a G plate 1990 BX 16 Auto in the car port!

47800 miles, three owner, auto, metallic grey

MoT'd till April, not taxed but could tax for six months at cost (done 800 miles since last MoT). Needs an exhaust but is working just fine at the moment with the bean can repair - new zorst about £70 mail order for NOS Citroen one from Bourne Citroen

everything works, has giffer dings, rear ns door dented but new door supplied. No spare wheel - it never came with one. Would deliver part of the way.

£400 as is, plus 6 months tax at cost and bus fair back to Gloucester from where we meet up.

Sounds great, but at the amount I'm selling the Micra for, I doubt I could stretch to that. Should have mentioned that my budget is around £400.

And no, I do not want the PandaSelecta Saab. It looks rotten!

Can't you get Auto5 to examine the SAAB for you?

Posted

the BX isn't rotten - it's great in every bad BX area! And it doesn't have a clutch pedal for the pedal box to break next to.

It'd be about £525 all in inc the tax - I'll forgo the bus fare back home.

Has fetching red and grey tweed upholstery and keep fit windows in the back.

No - just no.

I like Chris (PS), and get on well with him, but wouldn't buy one of his cars.

Still about £30 more than I can manage, sorry.

You could probably shiply DW's 309 accross and still be within budget :)

Sorry, the only thing I have at the moment is a Vauxhall Victor that will be a bit over budget!

Might be worth having a nose round the cars for sale in Kirbys, there's bound to be one or two with a bit of MOT left.

Canvey Trade Cars has a nice W-reg Xantia 2.0 SX hatchback in stock at the moment, but it's up for £595...

Posted

In the Dungeon is a W reg Vauxhall Vectra with a bit of MOT, that would be £250

Posted

Might be interested in that Vectra, but not for me - for my friend.

Could you send me the reg number for insurance quotes?

Job done!

Sadly I like that. Where abouts is this dungeon you speak of?
